Usually held on by two bolts which are typically 13 or 14mm.sometimes it is easier to gain access from the wheel arch underneath.make sure you disconnect the battery before attempting to remove the cables attached to said starter.

SOURCE: IAT location on my Scion XA

Your intake air temperature sensor is part of the MAF (mass airflow sensor) and located right off the air filter housing in the large tube going to the throttle body. Its held on with 2 screws and has a 5 wire electrical plug going to it.

SOURCE: my scion xa is shaking when idle

It might just be that the air filter holder is somehow knocking on a part of the engine. When I turned the holder away from the engine and then retightened the strap that holds the filter housing properly, I lose the "knocking"/"shaking" noise!

SOURCE: what oil is used for an 06 scion xa?

Recommended oil is 5W30. You can go one step better by using a synthetic 5W30 oil. It may a bit more expensive than conventional oil but it will extend the life of your car's engine (as long as oil changes are done on a regular basis). Cheers!

Testimonial: "Great! Synthetic all the way "

Question moved to model category.

The is no fuel cut off switch, only Fords have those.

Fuel Shut off switch location

Apr 21, 2007 - What switch? There is no fuel cutoff switch anywhere in the car. You need to read the codes from the ECM to determine why it won't start.

Because of the battery disconnection, the reversed polarity and replacing the ECM, you need a mobile auto electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer to diagnose. ECM have to be programmed to the car. Because you disconnected the battery, you also need to reset the alarm and immobilizer.
