By using a jumper wire, can you test the #3 coil driven by the #1 ignition pulse? Also could test the #3 ignition pulse by jumpering to #1 coil.

There can be many things related to the misfire
1) Short Coil
2) Improper spark plug gap
3) Carbon deposit on the spark plug
4) Wiring issue ( coupler )
If you are sure it is related to coil then check the wiring voltage with a multimeter and make sure than wiring it ok. There is simple method to test which ignition coil i not working , I am sharing a video for that. Once you are sure which one is not working then replace it.

Good Luck

What is the firing order on a 2003yzf 600 and how do I know what coil wires go to which plug

FORGOT TO CHANGE THE WIRES 1 BY 1, AND NOW IN TrOUBLE,/ ouch.
it is not a car at all, (missing body and 3000 other parts to a car)
LOL !!! even forgot it is YAMAHA motor cyclel.
gee the service manual covers all that, buy it and be ready parts fall off again? the manual is 10 buck on line, is that too much.?

Liquid-cooled 4-stroke, DOHC
Forward inclined parallel cylinders
do you know what wasted spark means? means 2 coils and 4 cylinders.
wow lost the primary wiring too. ouch2
2 coils, and are wasted spark, 1 secondary runs 2 spark plug
the HV leads, are marked, 23 and other is 14 marked.
1,2,4,3 FIRING ORDER is here.
so 1 and 4 are wasted spark set, with this 1 coil
2,3 is wasted spark on 2nd coil
now you will ask where is #1
#1 is front left side, L1,2,3,4Right easy no?, just like cars.
fires #1 real and wasted #4then fires 2 rear and 3 wasted.
the 4 and last 3
so if HV is wired right , that leaves only, 2 primary pins left
front and rear and if conn. backwards fires wrong and will not start,.
so is easy do that ,HV wired correct
my CB 750 1974 does the same thing, amazing no?
saving 2 useless coils, and weight.

google amazing, 1 min work and here the schematic is

https://wiring-pdf.blogspot.com/2018/12/2002-yzf-600-wiring-diagram.html

the pack front will not allow its HV wires to go the the wrong places,
being too short.

FYI, if one spark plug is bad (open) and or the HV wire to it the other spark plug dies too, they are wire HV in series.
seen clearly in the schematic.
there is no magneto here, the packs both to do spark controller.
page 8-28 in the service manual, buy it blow $10 and never have to guess or get lie told to you on the internet. endless lies.

2009 3.8L. What is coil pack layout?

https://ibb.co/9rB7TPz

Note how the cylinders are numbered. I looked up your ignition coil online, the coil towers are numbered. The number on the coil corresponds to the cylinder number in the picture. You have three coils, one coil fires two plugs. The firing order is 1 2 3 4 5 6, so 1 and 4 go on the same coil, 2 and 5, 3 and 6. Not sure I answered your question? good luck

Need the schematics for a 2005 Ford Freestar van coil pack engine wiring

http://ibb.co/cjRMz7

Click on the link.
You see the wire colors for the coil pack, if that's what your asking? The red wire should be primary voltage to coil pack, the other three wires are grounds for the coil, coils, a b c, one coil fires two plugs. I looked at info for 4.2L engine.
Looking under the hood, fwd, the rear bank of cylinders from left to right, 1 2 3.
The front bank of cylinders from left to right, 4 5 6.
Hope this helps.

COMMON CAUSES FOR MIS FIRING ON 1996 ISUZU RODEO V6

You fried the coil drivers , If you have B+ voltage going into those coils an they are new coils ,there is no control ! You have three wires to each coil ,one is B+ voltage ,one goes to what the wiring diagram calls a coil driver an the other looks like a ground symbol an says common chamber. You should be able to test for control with a test light. Go on youtube an watch a few scanner Danner videos on testing electronic ignition systems .

What would make my coil not fire on 2@3 on my 2002 dodge stratus

If the coil is firing on 1 & 4 there is nothing wrong with the coil. If it is not working on 2 & 3 I would think that there is a problem with the wiring going to those two plugs.

If you have a distributor it is possible that the primary coil is not being energized for those two positions. If your ignition is all computerized then I would look at the computer for the issue.

Where is ignition coil E located on a 2001 Mazda tribute

Standing in front of the vehicle, looking at the vehicle. Ford is 1,2,3,4 on the left and 5. 6.7.8. on the right. Front to back. a,b,c,d on the left, e,f,g,h on the right. So E would be on the drivers side , first cylinder. If the coil is hitting, then look to the spark plug first, also the boot, then the injector and wiring.
