SOURCE: alarm problem on 97 acura tl - now car wont start
try turning the key on then taking the +side off then turn key off and reconect+
SOURCE: I was in the store
yes the starter is not getting the required pressure to start the car.as when you insert the key in ignition module the car gives command to the starter and car cranks and throw pressure to the alternater and that throws pressure with current to the sparkplugs and the spark comes and car gets started.as its the faulty wiring that gor misallighned and short circuited.as the wiring has to be checked at each point and that has to be cleared.also check out starter solenoid with starter .solenoid is located in the starter unit.
thanks.

It could very well be your ignition switch may be damaged/need to be replaced. common problem 97's I have seen 3 like this so far. if you turn the key to lock the car and your alarm beeps to tell u it is active then its not the alarm and is very likely the ignition switch. you can cross the terminals to start the car until it is fixed. also be sure to check the relays and fuses as well.

To all you Acura alarm sufferers. In the immediate term to appease your neighbors - open the door and reclose, leaving the door ajar enough that the interior door light is still on. Be sure to turn off the roof light so no one is cued your car door is ajar.
When you can go under the hood, remove the fuse - I think it is 15 - the fuse box cover has a diagram. I left the fuse out for a couple of hours and reinserted it. That broke the pattern for 7 months.
It is 89 degrees in chicago today, the alarm went off at the train station and I got a ticket for noise disturbance.
It's time to look at the fuse box again. i think extreme temps are the problem.
