A/C blows from defrost and floor vents, nothing from dash vents.

The vents on the dashboard do not put out any air. Cold air will however come out of the defrost and floor vents.

The switch where you turn it to blowing at your head is probably out. you will need to replace the switch control where your defrost, foot, head etc. what make, model, year is your vehicle?

I have an 09 camry and there's very little air blowing out of my defrost but plenty of heat blowing out of the dash. On every setting it blows from the dash. Almost as if those vents aren't closing when I switch it over. Any suggestions?

Mine is doing the same thing. It doesn't matter where I put the selector switch, it continues to blow out the dash. With the cold weather here, I'd rather it had broken in the defrost mode. There's a big, white cam visible behind the console from the driver's footwell and I'm guessing it has something to do with directing the air flow, but I can't make it move. If I figure anything out I'll let you know.

Did some checking on line and it looks as if the Air Outlet Servo Motor has failed. It's behind the cam I mentioned earlier. I'm guessing its not the easiest thing to replace, given its location and ease of access, but not impossible.

I have a 1975 k5 blazer and it blows cold air it worked fine last year but now it only blows cold air even on the defrost setting what can the problem be and how can I fix it?

A vent flap actuator probably needs to be replaced. It's what moves your vent flaps from heat to A/C or to plain "vent air" when you change settings.

The discussion in the link includes vent flap actuators. Unfortunately, they also include the infamous no low speed fan problem too.

Cannot get any air from dash vents while defrost and floor vents work fine...

Your particular actuator will be a different one than they found.
They're all a absolute pain to get at because they can be well buried in the dash. I would start looking under the dash on the passenger side, that's where most of the air control is. Cannot get any air from dash vents while defrost and floor vents work fine...

AC is only blowing through the defrost vents in the dashboard?

I think your problem is the head unit that selects where the air comes out ie. Face, floor, defrost, or hi-level face and floor. If that's not working then it will not let you switch location that you want the air to come out.

behind the center counsel between the floor and the heater housing is a part that is called the blend door actuator. these usually go bad and have to be replaced.
