Possible causes
- Low transmission fluid level
- Dirty transmission fluid
- Shift solenoids
- Transmission mechanical problems
- Transmission hydraulic control circuit
Start by inspecting the transmission fluid level and condition, and change fluid if necessary.
You can read more: http://engine-codes.com/p0736.html#ixzz3TTb53SS6 It's most likely that your transmission fluid level is low . . and PROBABLY substantially LOW. IF you're high mileage on this vehicle, buy a 12 oz. container of Lucas transmission treatment from an auto parts store and get it in before you ruin your tranny. REMEMBER to make ample room in the transmission as you do this ! Overfilling can also damage it. Once you've established the fluid level in your tranny, you can drain it down by purchasing an 8 ft. length of clear plastic hose that'll fit inside your tranny fill tube and siphon it out. Just remember that fluids seek their own level, so you MAY have to suck just a tad on the hose (and have a friend observe so you don't get it in your mouth) to get it started draining out. It may not be necessary to say this, but when you're going to ADD 12 oz., you MUST have retrieved 12 oz. from your tranny in order to have room to add this.

99 Plymouth voyager and these codes came up p0731, p0732, p0736, p0700 what can i do about it

Probably not much you can do yourself.
Code 700 is a general fault code for the transmission or control module. Code 731 is for incorrect ratio for first gear, 732 is for 2nd gear, and 736 is for reverse. The actual problem could be mechanical or electrical, including the transmission control module.
You would need a shop manual and the necessary tools to check the circuits and solenoids inside the transmission.

Transmission problem on my 2001 dodge caravan

Not good if it makes a grinding noise. Needs a tech or replacement as something most likely has come loose inside the transmission.

2002 dodge caravan ec the transmission downshifts hard only from 5mph to 0 when accelerating its shifts fine the van has 123000 on it

This happens sometimes with these. It is adaptable. And needs to be reset. Take the vehicle to a shop that has a scanner. The TCM needs to have a quick learn reset done on it. That should cure the problem.

Hard downshift on that tranny ? means either your downshift cable is out of adjustment? or the shift solenoid shift pack has a faulty solenoid and or sticking servo valve or loss of voltage

2002 Dodge caravan, down shifting hard.

The PO562 is merely a low voltage code. Tranny codes are 700's. It is possible your brakes are dragging and that's forcing a downshift early; hoist it up and check for freewheeling, but I would take it to a reputable tranny shop. Believe it or not, you can ask your Mopar dealer for a recomendation; most dealers do sublet some of their tranny jobs out to independents, esp their used cars. Keep the faith.
