I have never had any problems with this car until I decided to have the dealer look at it. I have a 2006 Mercury Milan and now after the car was served the wrench light comes on now and sometimes the service light goes on and off occasionally, but again this only happened now after I took my car in for a 100 mile check up. I just wanted to make sure everything was ok with the car to before something happened. What a mistake I made taking it in service when there was nothing wrong. Now on mostly really cold mornings starting the car the wrench is on the car does not want to move, it is like the trans is slipping. On these cold mornings I notice if I start the and run for 10-15 minutes turn it off wait a minute turn it back on again and the wrench light is off and the car run fine until the next time, usually cold mornings when it will come on again. Could the dealer have put transmission fluid in? What would cause wrench to go off and work normal after it warms up and you turn it off and back on again??? I never had a problem with the car until I took it to the dealer to have if freshened up. They did a tune up transmission flush filter and gasket change. Throttle body disassembly cleaned and reassembly. Cleaned the mass airflow senor. Of course the dealer said they did not do anything wrong. Now they are saying it has a bad transmission and computer. They want 5,000 for the trans and did not give me the price for the computer yet. How could these all be bad now after the dealer just service the car and again I never had a problem with the car before? Thanks, John

Ok with the transmission i have had the same issue sometimes if u do alot of in town driving the fluid will build moisture and if its real cold it will freeze the light could be on cause its acting like low fluid. letting it run and shutting it off thaws it out and it runs better if so take it to another shop and have the trans fluid and filter changed first like $175 tops, try that first worked on my explorer now shifts perfect again

Despite your car having an AUX button, you will be disappointed to know this menu is not operational as there is no AUX jack.

Hey i was in a car accident and the side of my 2006 mercury milan and it wont start it just try's to turn over but there's spark but it juust wont start? the impact was pretty hard broke tire hub......

The gas shut off valve must be tripped. Not sure where it is try looking in your manual. When you find it press the button to reset it. Sometimes in kick plates, under hood, or rear compartments. Good luck.

Upgrading 2006 Mercury Milan's sound system with MP3 jack.

Even though your current radio has an AUX button the radio is not programmed to utilize it.
There is no 'easy' way to add the '07 Job 2 and later year model's factory Aux input.
You will need to buy an aftermarket solution. Something like this http://pac-audio.com/productDetails.aspx?ProductId=821&CategoryID=24
