on the passenger side of the car under the dash there sits the hvac box they a 1 connector to it and 3 screws little ones,remove then and it falls out,,install new,,,easy

Hi Tim, The resistor is fitted into the fan housing behind the center consul. to get to it, remove the side kick panel and follow the cables for the fan. Disconnect the plug and remove the screw holding the unit in place. Remove the defective unit and fit the new one. Reconnect the plug and refit the panel. Enjoy the breeze. Regards John

Hi i have a 07 saturn ion. i don't have any air hot or cold coming through the front vent.

were you getting power to the resistor before you changed it out ? are you getting power to resistor -are you getting power from switch -start from switch and work your way through the harness towards the motor [harness fuses blower ]

Hi i have an 07 saturn ion 2.2. i have no air blowing in the front blowers hot or cold. I have replaced the blower resistor and still nothing. What could be the problem??

THe fan motor is the next place to check. The brushes wear out and the motor stops. It should be under the dash near the passengers feet, you may be able to strike it with something like a mallet to see if it starts. If that is the case then replace it, they are about 100

This 03 saturn ion interior / heater blower fan only works on level 4 setting so i unpluged 4 terminal plug at resistor block and found battery voltage only at yellow wire also level 4 blows slowly is...

The problem is most likely the heater control head, or the blower motor resistor.

first find the blower resistor and check the voltage there its near the blower motor, look for a 5 wire harness

Cabin fan isn't running

Can be a blown fuse, defective blower motor, or defective Blower Motor Resistor Pack. Rarely is the speed control bad but it is possible. Check the fuse and if it is good apply 12 volts directly to the blower motor. If it does not run replace it. If it does then the Resistor Pack is the likely culprit.

2003 SATURN ION CHIRPING ON BLOWER MOTOR , has a high pitch when the air is turned on seems to be coming from the passenger side.

Sounds like something in the blower motor fan (also called the squirrel cage) Sometimes mice bring things into this for a nest.
