I have a 2011 Checy Equinox, when i started my car after work today it sounded like someone was knocking on my dashboard near the glove box area. It eventually stopped after I drove a while, but now every time I start it the knocking comes back.

I answer this question all day long. This tap, tap, tap sound is actually the Recirculation Door Actuator is the problem. The gear is stripped or broken in the actuator. You have to get it replaced.

Can this Recirculation Door Actuator also cause heating problems?

Heater flap? Actually my 93 Chevy has been doing that for about 2 years. I can plug the flap for a short time. Then it sounds like a ticking clock sort of in glove box.-lol. Goes away after about 15 seconds? My guess-sounds like the same issue I have. Nothing to worry about. Easy fix if it really bothers you.

Where is the blower resister on the 2011 sorento? I found the blower behind the glove box but don't know which one is the resister?

If you are referring to the "heater" blower motor resister?
It is under the top section of the dashboard where the shelf detent pad is. First remove the screws on top of the pad area, next start lifting up the right side of the dashboard section towards the center and over towards the left over the instrument cluster and lift out the complete top of the dash. Next remove the defroster duct by removing the screws. Unclip from the lower section and the duct will lift out. The resister is located there under the dash area and will unbolt allowing removal. "Good Luck."

I have a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox LTZ and my question involves the heating/ AC unit. The air flow seems to be very strong through the Defroster but for the dash vents and the floor it seems to be much s

Defrost has been stronger on all types. Just the way plenums are made. Clear that wind shield first. As long as you have plenty of heat to keep the cabin area warm to hot, it's OK. I wouldn't woory about it.

The Chevrolet Equinox instrument panel fuse block is located on the passenger's side of the center console, to the left of the glove box near the floor.

How to change cabin filter 2011 Lacrosse

I just changed mine yesterday and these tips listed above were unfortunately incorrect.

Step 1 - Open the passenger door
There is a panel that has no screws on the flatside of the dashboard which faces against the closed door at the jam side. Use a body tool and pry the panel carefully exposing the inside area of the glovebox. If possible dont do this in cold weather because the tabs are plastic. Inside the panel you will see one small tab that the glove box has a 1/4 plastic clip seated in the tab.

Step 2 - Open the glove box. Remove the 3 hex screws on the top interior row of the glove box.

Step 3 - At the right and left corners of the bottom of the glove box remove the two front facing screws on the lower hinge.

Step 4- At the very bottom parallel to the floor there are two more hex screws remove those (they hold the plastic vent in place underneath the glove box. Pull the vent downward to release the tabs.
IMPORTANT: Dont forget to go back to step 1 and pull the small tab from the slot in the dashboard cover area ( Inside the panel you will see one small tab that the glove box has a 1/4 plastic clip seated in the tab)

Step 5 - Pull down on the glove box to release the clips.

Step 6 - You will see a black box inside. There are three tabs (right, top, and left) pull them individually to remove the front facing cover. Inside you will see the air filter. Remove and have airflow arrow pointed downward.

Reverse steps to reinstall. Be sure to line up the clips before pressing them back in place. Do not force them!

Good luck. I hope this helps. I did mine on the first attempt with no issues in about 10 minutes (I'm not a mechanic).

Where is the fuse box in a 2008 dodge equinox

One is under the hood but the one your looking for is on the passenger side some where near your glove box! Either under or inside or even open the passenger door and look where you could see before!
