You might want to consider having e brake repaired. It is not just for parking, but can be very useful for emergencies, as if when you normal brakes fail. In addition, its regular use prevents transmission damage as you have now. Sure the new problem did not occur immediately after the e brake failed, but the damage occurs gradually over time.

Yes I kniow and i fully intend to do so. That does not answer my question tho.

Your question is why it is hard to get out of park. I have told you the reason is you have damaged the parking "pawl" inside your transmission due to using PARK to hold your car in place instead of your e brake, and that the damage occurs grdually over time. How does that not answer your question?

Actually you are wrong. Took it to a dealer. Had nothing to do with what you said.

Sorry. It was my best guess.

SOURCE: 2002 Mercury Villager, security system keeps going

You may have more than 1 problem. You should go to Autozone or similar and ask for a scan. The battery should be checked for shorts also. If the battery is alright you want to check the big cables on the battery. The ground wire to the engine and the starter wire to the starter under the car.

The security system can go off if the noise or vibration trips a sensor in your vehicle. A loud car, airplane, or car door slamming can do it. Check your times for a neighbors activities. The dealer or alarm company may need to desensitize the alarm. Autozone has a tester for your remote keypad.

There is also a place on the menu in some vehicles "info center" to reset the doorlocks to lock automatically when you first drive away. There could be a bug in the system.

SOURCE: cant release spare tire from under car

Location of the spare tire and tools
The spare tire and tools for your vehicle are stowed in the following
locations:
Item Location
Spare tire Under the vehicle, just forward of
the rear bumper
Jack assembly Under the third row bench seat in
the tool bag
Removing the jack and tools
1. Lift the 3rd row seat cushion.
2. Remove the jack assembly from the bag under the seat.

Removing the spare tire
1. Open the liftgate, locate the U-shaped slits in the carpet, and flip up
the piece of carpet to expose the hex nut.
2. Insert the lug nut wrench on the
hex nut in cargo floor.
3. Turn the wrench
counterclockwise until tire is
lowered to the ground and the cable
is slightly slack.
4. Remove the retainer from the
spare tire. It may be necessary to
lift one end of the tire to disengage
the retainer

Not releasing completely

First possibility is that the brake pedal is adjusted with too little freepay, and the master cylinder can't return far enough to release fluid pressure back to the reservoir.
Second possibility a caliper may be sticking.
You can tell that by heat, since only one would stick and the other would be much cooler. (careful not to get burned. It can easily be very hot.)
Third possibility is a bad wheel bearing, which allows the rotor to wobble and press itself against the brakes. But this should vary on turns, and feel as a vibration in the brake pedal and steering wheel.

Ran out of gas. after putting gas into my 93 mercury villager it would not start. please HELP

2 Suggestions:
Check the gas reset button located besides the parking brake pedal (red button), press it and try to turn it on.
Check with a mechanic if the gas pump still works (if you ran out of gas you could probably have damaged your gas pumpby overheating it)
