Power seat won't move back and forward, the forward movement only working on one side the right side won't work. checked the motor even exchanged the motor with the up-down position same result, (the up-down switch-button now controls the back-forward motion), the right side stuck will not move. Not fond of the power-seat. So, are the mounting bolt(4) positions the same for power-seat and the manual-seat
Yes, if you purchase a manual set is will bolt in just the same so long as its the same model and year as they do change from year to year.
Thanks. The bolts position matched.
i have a problem on the seat-belt light which stay on the old manual seat has a existing wire that was pulled off from carpet.
The power-seat was a multi-wired plug. try plug the loose wires(2, rred and white) into the plug(3-holes), all combinations won't turn the seat-belt light off (in console area)
The seat belt light sould not be associated with the power seat electrical harness. They are almost always on their own circuit that has two wires and connects directly to the seat belt buckle. If the indicator is bundled in with the power seat connector you will need to either look up an electrical diagram to find the wires for the seat belt indicator circuit or use a volt meter or power probe to locate the wires. You might want to pull the fuse for the power seat to make it easier to locate the seat belt indicator circuit.
Mjbat, Thanks a lot. The seat belt base of the purchase seat did not function well. I switched it use my own. Then I cut the other end of the plug of my power seat, connected the wire(2 -red and white from the
manual set to the power-seat's plug's(3-prong white, red, blue) white and red wires with caps. It worked. Thanks again.
Glad to hear you figured it out and everything worked! :)
