What the manual says. to turn the ignition key on and then hold both the AC button and Auto button on at same time. Removed the AC fuse, no go.

That won't burn out the compressor. It could be dead already. There are several things that will keep the light on, in the dash. High, low pressure switches, A/C .heater controller malfunction, wiring, and the compressor is bad. All these turn the light on, but all will shut down the system. Put it on a scanner and find out what's wrong.

I need to reset the maintains required light. Places like Jiffy Lube do not know how to reset the maintains light. So I want to do it my self.

Call your local Auto Zone or Advance Auto Parts, they may be able to reset the light for you. I know they can run diagnostics and can reset a Check Engine light, they may be able to do more.

I have a toyota 2000rav4 the problem is since it has automatic transmission it seems to be lacking power but still does fine in acceleration when ever running on long plain distance have trouble climbing

Well sorry to tell you but all Rav 4s have bad fuel comp and the auto matic gearboxes will not run in top gear untill the temp gauge reaches approx 28 deg as it is programed that way and some times will stay in 3rd gear once it changed down to 3rd from top, but if it gets into top {2400 rpm } 75 kph
due to the 4wheel drive.
But due to haw many KMor Miles it has done and how its been serviced as the auto gear boxes do have problems and can give the same problems pulling up hills, but its due to the Auto box But make sure the O/D button (over/drive) is off and dash light will come on the dash.

Maintainece required light on at 70,000

Nothing to be sorry about. Take the vehicle to Auto Zone, Advance Auto parts or O'Rielley's auto parts and ask them to use their code reader to identify the Fault code. That will tell you where the problem is and then you can decide where to take the vehicle to do the repair or if you want to try repairing it yourself.

My 2006 toyota sequoia has no dash lights for the most part and the cigarette lighter does not work. The clock works but no radio lights either. The radio works.

My 2001 Toyota Sequoia just lost all dash lights last night too. I've tried checking the fuses in the cabin, and none of them look blown. Did you ever get an answer to this problem?
