do you have injector pulse durng initial cranking? you may have a bad cam shaft position sensor that "comes to life" when rpms are up. or an injector has a bad spray nozzle allowing fuel to flow into its cylinder, pulling the spark plugs and checking for any that may be "wet" or smell ''rich'' will help pin-point your problem.
The best way to check it would be with a guage on the fuel rail. Do you hear it run at all when you turn on the key? If it runs and you have spark, and it won't start it is probably the fuel pump. Try squirting a little gas in the throttle body if it fires up for a second, then it is not getting fuel. Please rate my answer so I am awarded points for it.
IF IT IS THROTTLE BODY THEN FILTER IS IN THE FUEL LINE UNDER THE FLOOR AT DRIVERS FEET, IF ITS CARBURATED, THEN ITS THAT 1"'1-1/4 ROUND THINGY AT THE FUEL LINE WHERE IT GOES INTO CARB...
DOES IT HAVE POWER/ A GOOD BATTERY? IF SO CHECK & SEE IF IT IS GETTING FIRE OUT FROM THE COIL PACKS,THE QUICKEST WAY TO SEE IF IT IS FIRE OR A FUEL PROBLEM IS SPRAY A LITTLE STARTING FLUID IN THE THROTTLE BODY,& IF IT CRANKS & THEN CUTS RIGHT BACK OFF ITS A FUEL PROBLEM,FUEL PUMP FUSE,FUEL PUMP RELAY,OR FUEL PUMP,& OR FUEL FILTER, IF ITS NOT GETTING FIRE IT COULD BE A CRANK SENSOR, A CAM POSITION SENSOR,COIL PACK(S) OR A FUSE OR RELAY.
