Start Error Message when turn the key. No clicking, Dash normal.

This suggests the starter motor might be starting to fail. It's normal for the dash lights to go off for a moment as you turn the key as the starter uses a lot of voltage to spin the motor. Have you checked the fuse and the relay are OK? The solenoid and starter motor are a one piece unit so how did you change the solenoid? Have you tried replacing the entire starter motor? The issue could be between the solenoid and the motor itself.

Ignition switch is likely worn out making intermittent contact.

Engine not starting (does not crank) but all dash lights working ...

However, when i turn the key all the way, the engine does not even try to ... if its the battery, won't the car at least try to start up? i can't get it to ... 08 C300 won't start

1. So the car was running normally and then on one occasion you put in the key to start it and all the warning lights flash up on the dash and the starter motor will not turn the engine over. Is that correct.

2. When you last drove the car were any warning lights appearing on the dash.such as check engine warning, engine overheating, electrical charging warnings etc.\

3. Has any work been carried out on the car recently.

4. How old is the battery in the car.

1. Turn the ignition to ON do not start.Engine OFF dash board lights ON.
2. Press and release the reset button in the driver information center (DIC) until the OIL LIFE message is displayed.
3. Once the alternating OIL LIFE and RESET messages appear on the DIC display, press and hold the reset stem until several beeps sound. This confirms the OIL LIFE system has been reset.
4. Turn the key to lock. If the CHANGE OIL message comes back on when you start the engine, the ENGINE OIL LIFE system has not reset. Repeat the procedure
Alternate Method
1. Turn the ignition key to ON with the engine off.
2. Fully press and release the accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds. Several beeps sound. This confirms the oil life system has been reset.
3. Turn the ignition key OFF.
4. If the CHANGE/OIL message comes back on when you start the engine, the engine oil life system has not reset. Repeat the procedure
I use the second method, it is more universal and it works for Chevy Venture too.

Your immobilizer is enabled. Try locking/unlocking the doors with the remote five (5) times, this should remedy.

I had a wire connector on the front of the engine that had so much tension, the wires broke. I didn't notice until a wet day when the car wouldn't start (and the Check Engine light was on). (The error code was related to an Emissions error.) The connector is located on the engine, front, just left of center. Hope this helps!
