Air lock in the fuel line stopping fuel getting to engine! You need to bleed the system! Take a fuel line off near to engine block and put into bucket to catch fuel and turn engine over till air expelled! Replace fuel line and off you go!

Can you hear the fuel pump turn on when you put the key into the on position (just before you would turn to start the engine). If you don't, your fuel pump may not be working properly.

Hi Roshed, Did you put enough gas in? If car is not on level surface,it could take 3-4 gallons to supply fuel pump, which is inside fuel tank. You can check whether pump is working or not by removing filler cap and listening for a 'whirring' sound when an assistant turns the key to ON not START, just off to on.if you can't hear anything, check fuel emergency shut off; a circuit breaker, usually in the trunk, behind the carpet on inner fender 'wall' see owners manual.Check for blown fuse. If you tried starting before realizing it was empty, fuel pump will probably need to be replaced,as the fuel 'lubricates' the pump, and they're quickly damaged if run dry.Good Luck

two issues here. this may be a low fluid issue. i would check the level of the fluid first. the next issue could be a blown shift solenoid. these are located inside of the transmission pan.also, check the filter as well.(transmission filter could be clogged)

first of all, check your code to see what the car computer shows. To do that , insert the key in the ignition and switch it on three time within 2 seconds and the third time live the key in the on position. All the instrument panel lights will lite and the oddometer will display the fault code that may br the cause for your car not starting. goood luck.

How do i get my 2000 dodge intrepid to restart after running out of gas

Probably have to replace the fuel pump in the tank. Older pumps don't like running out of gas. You can hit the bottom of the tank in the middle with a piece of wood or a rubber mallet. This jars the pump. If it comes back on, you will still need to replace it.

find the fuel lines to the motor (silver line on top of fuel injectors) if there is a bleed valve (looks like a tire inflation valve) press it with something to open it (beware the spray) have a friend turn the motor over to see if you are getting fuel...if so when fuel line has pressure try starting again

This is a 2000 dodge intrepid r/t i just had the radiator replaced and a battery put in, the problem is now they said that my engine was clicking because i need an oil change i have never heard this before...

if the car has hydraulic(oil) lifters on the camshaft that operate the engine valve sytem and the clicking noise is in this area ,,,
then a oil chang will boost the tired oil from the lifters and flush the old oil out ,,making the car run a lot better

Car was driving fine for a while but cut off restarted ran rough and got home now wont restart. Has 55K miles original miles. Was driven daily an hour each way. Kinda need back on road cost effectively.

Sounds like a fuel filter. Next I would check the head gasket. See if there is any coolant in the oil. If this was at all helpful, please rate. Thanks for asking.

there should be a bleeder in the engine compartment on the fuel hose to your injector rail try turning key on and pushing the bleeder to let out air in the line . hope that helps . if gas comes out it's pressurized and stop pushing the bleeder

2000 Dodge Intrepid with PO455 code and stalling.

A code 455 most likely one or more of the following has happened
a loose or bad gas cap
a non-conforming gas cap
other leaks or damage pieces in the evap system

Inspect the evap system for cracks or breaks in lines listen for vacume leaks or strong gas fume smell and fix all lines you find that are damaged ..I know you say you put a new gas cap but make sure it a conforming cap..Hope this helps
