Question about Cars & Trucks
Both the driver and passenger side door lock/unlock switches do not operate locking or unlocking. Keyless entry and the switches on the key fob work. All doors lock and unlock normally, just not with the armrest rocker switches. Since both switches don't operate, I tried looking for a fuse, but all logical choices on the fuse list are ok. Where can I look for the problem. Have also tried the programming method of turning off the auto lock. This will work with keyless entry pad, but not the armrest rocker switches.
Hi E,with key OFF, try spraying a little ELECTRIC CONTACT CLEANER from CRC or Radio Shack into space between switch & panel on driver's side, cycle switch back & forth 10 or 12 times.driver's side switch 'overrides' others ,if cleaner dosen't work, replace it first. Good Luck

more than likely the lock solenoid in the driver side door is not working. it located near the latch inside the door.

drivers central door locking module is kaput and needs flinging as far as you can then replace it with a new one or a salvaged one
