I disconnected the battery to clean the terminals not knowing that the radio would no longer work. How do I reset the radio codes? I can not find the codes anywhere.
There should be a code that you can get from the dealer but they will require the VIN number and the serial number of the radio. Before you do that try to find the code on your car. Common places where the code is found are the glove box. the bottom of the ash tray, the door jamb.
The best way is to copy the serial number to a piece of paper or your phone and take it to the nearest dealer and ask them to look up your code for you...then write it down in your owner's manual. if they give you any grief, then politely remind them that your car was bought at a Honda dealership, and so you would appreciate their help. and without cost
Are you asking how to preset the stations on your radio?
It varies depending the radio. But you basically:
1. turn on the radio
2, select am or fm
3. manually use the tuner and find a station
4. either press the set button then select the number on the radio to "set that chanel"
Or hold the number down for a few seconds.
5. Some radios have a 'Scan P' or Scan Preset. that will spin thru the stations and pause just long enough for you to select a preset I've never had much luck with it but it won't hurt to try.

Just in case.....open your glove compartment look on all edges a lot of Honda folks put a copy there. If not there your alternative is to take the radio out and get the serial number off the radio, take that, and proof that you own the car, to a Honda Dealership and they will be able to call it up on their computer system.... Oh if you have the original owners manual, you might look in there, sometimes people would stick a copy inside the manual it will be a 5 digit number. Hope this helps, the last thing is to take the car to your local Honda Service Department and have them take out the radio and get the code for you, not sure what the charge will be but it won't be cheap at least 1 hour labor or more

The Unlock Code and the device unit's serial number are listed on the anti-theft ID card that comes with the vehicle. The card is usually placed in the glove box at the time of delivery. Use the Unlock Code listed on this card. For certain models, the dealer may have placed a label with the device serial number on the glove box. ----------------- If you cant find it, you need 3 things
1. Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
2. Phone Number and Zip Code Information
3. Device Serial Number
Then CLICK HERE and enter the information for automated code retrieval.
------------------------------
or you can pull out the radio, take it to the service dept. of a honda dealership and ask them if then can look up the code for you. they might ask you for your vehicles VIN, so you might wanna have that written down.
i always get a marker (Sharpie) and write the code on the top of the radio. that way you can't loose it.
SOURCE: 2006 honda accord, after changing the battery.
Unless the Accord was jump started, creating possible power surge to damage radio, it should not of had any relationship to the radio.
But, just in case, would suggest disconnecting battery for 5 minutes, reconnecting battery, reentering radio code and see what happens.
If that fails, hopefully your under 36k miles or got the Factory extended warranty "Honda Care" Service plan, so take to the Honda Dealership to see what they say.

FREE and EASY methods to get your Honda radio UNLOCK CODE. (Dealerships usually charge)
Assuming you don't have the Anti-Theft Code and Serial Number that is
found on the credit card sized Anti-Theft Radio Identification Card
that comes with the vehicle at the time of purchase and is usually
found in the glove compartment....
You have FREE options to retrieve that code by phone or on the internet
BUT, the RADIO SERIAL NUMBER is REQUIRED (no matter what). (see bottom

***IF your Honda was made BEFORE 2001 the serial number MAY not be accessible without removing the radio from the vehicle.***

unlock code to work.****
Disconnect your negative battery terminal (or pull the radio fuse out
if that's easier for you) for 30 seconds then reconnect it and then the
radio will say "CODE" again and you can put in your correct unlock code.

So what happened to begin with?

If the power from your battery to the Honda radio is interrupted the
Anti-Theft feature kicks in, the radio is rendered inoperable and the
screen reads 'CODE'. You must enter in the Anti-Theft Radio Unlock Code
(usually 5 digits) to make it operational again. You know that much by
now.

If an audio unit with theft protection is disconnected from electrical power, you must enter a unique code number into the unit or it will not work. This code and the audio unit’s serial number are listed on the anti-theft ID card that comes with the vehicle. If this card is lost, you must obtain the audio unit serial number in order to get the radio code. Some newer vehicles allow you to retrieve the audio unit serial number electronically from the radio (some people say that they find the code on a sticker in the glove compartment, but I wouldn't count on that). Refer to your owner’s manual for the specific procedure (the following usually will work: Turn the radio off. Push the preset 1, preset 6, and power buttons at the same time, then quickly release. The number will come up in two sets)
Once you have the audio unit serial number, you can call Auto Customer Service at (800) 999-1009 or have the dealer look up the radio code.
Hope this helps you.
