Flashers, turn signals and brake lights

None of my hazards and signals work. Changed the flasher, check fuses, checked bulbs, did the WD40 thing. Nothing worked. Once I changed the flasher the only thing that kind of works is that the flasher makes its flashing noise and the left signal flashes in the cab but not in the rear. What else to try?

Try shaking the turn signal lever rapidly. Not to the point of breaking it but you do want to apply a little extra pressure. move it in every direction for about 5 to 10 minutes. do not spray anything into the switch as it will collect dust and dirt in the future. This should get everything freed up and working in the multifunction switch. That sounds like where the problem is coming from.

2002 BUICK CENTURY CUSTOM TURN SIGNALS STOPPED WORKING

Go back to basics. Check each bulb, check the fuse, check the flasher unit. Turn your hazard light switch on. If the lights flash it could be the fuse for the turn signal. If the lights turn on but don't flash, it's the flasher unit.
if you know how to use a multimeter, (volt meter). Turn on one side repeater and test for voltage at all three bulb sockets. Repeat for the other side. If you get no signal at one position your short is in that loop. If no signal at any position the fault is nearer the fuse box.

I need to find the flasher relay for a grand marquis 2001 .does it has one? My turn signals wont work I can hear the sound but don't even flash

Yes, it does have a flasher, although it may be a combined unit with the hazard flashers relay. So you hear the clicking of the flasher relay? That seems to indicate the relay is working properly. Have you checked the bulbs and the turn signal fuse? Any turn signal bulbs light up anywhere, front or back?
How about your brake lights, do they work? Your car may have separate, stand alone turn signals in the rear, but many American cars use the same bulb and same filament on the bulb for the brake lights and turn signals. If your merc is like this and the brake lights work, then the bulb must be good.
Turn on the hazard flashers and see if all bulbs work and flash at each corner of the car. This would be the same bulb as for the turn signals. If they work, it could be a bad turn signal switch, may even be the flasher relay somehow malfunctioning, and in a few cases, a bad hazard switch can affect the turn signal switch. Check fuses and bulbs first. If you have any type of body control module that controls lights and other accessories, you may have to investigate that. I know I'm not being very helpful, just throwing out a few suggestions. Good luck.

I have a 2000 Ford Escort. My left turn signal inside is blinking real fast. Outside it isn't working. Also, the brake light and Haz.Flasher isn't working on the outside either on the left side....

In the fuse panel with the fuses inside the car there are two big round units plugged into the fuse panel, one is your turn signal flasher one is your hazard flasher. I would start with those and move to other things if that doesn't fix it. Hope this Helps.

My rear turn signal was not working. I changed the bulb and tried again and this time none of my signals are working, nor my hazard lights. I changed the fuses inside the car but that did not work.

Last thing to try before trouble shooting the wires for a short is the flasher unit. Usually it is located on or near the fuse box and is normally round and silver about 1" in diameter. If that doesn't work, none of the turn signals or flashers will work. You you had flashers but not turn signals I would say look at the switch on the steering column but you have nothing which points to the flasher control.

I have no signals and when brakes lights are on, lose brake light to either side turn signal is set on

Hi!!

If you activate the turn signal switch and you step on the brake pedal, the turn switch (on the steering column) deactivates the brake light to make the signal light more visible. The bulb for the stop and turn lights is the same.

Turn hazard lights ON. If they don't blink, replace turn/hazard flasher, If one or more lights don't come on, replace bulb.

Check fuse and circuit wiring for broken or loose connections. If all looks fine, check following:

If front turn lights work fine, check brake/turn bulbs.

If turn lights come on but don't blink, replace turn signal/hazard flasher.

If front and back turn lights don't come on, replace switch on column.

Let me know how it worked out, Good Luck

Hazard flashers do not work. Turn signals do. Changed relay. Nothing. Ugh. 1992 oldsmobile cutlass supreme

You changed the hazard flasher or the turn signal flasher? It has two, one for the hazard and one for the turn signals

1997 Chevy Tahoe both turn signals stopped working

Sounds like the flasher unit to me. Normally the emergency flasher and turn signal are separate.
