How to remove the head rest out the front seat of a 2003 BMW 745li

Hi, at the back of the seat you have 2 parts you have to take off
1) bottom pocket insert
2) and the insert that's at top of that witch is just below head rest.
3) once those 2 parts off you will see the head rest and motor. Theirs two pins, one on each side of the chrome arms. Pull pins out and head rest slides.

Intake valves are opening when # 2 is coming up

only worry about what is happenng on no1 piston. with the piston on top dead center and the valves in the overlap position ie a small movement either way shows inlet opening or closing with the the exhaust operating the opposite direction means that you have timed the motor correctly. all the rest will fall into line

Do i need to have my 2004 dodge intrepid anti theft code reset through a dealership if the heads and head gaskets were replaced? the entire top of the engine ws taken apart adn put abcl together.

i would disconnect the battery. removing both the positive and negative battery terminals. with both ends disconnected, hold the two terminals together for about 10 seconds. this will proform a hard reset on most chrysler vehicles. also, if this doesnt work, try turning the key to the on position, and then proforming the hard reset procedure.

I washed my engine the other day 97 Jetta gl 2.0l, and I must have gotten water in the motor somehow because there's coffee cream colored chunks of oil in my motor i must have a blown head gasket how do...

If you have a blown head gasket the only option you have is to replace the head gasket. Also take your oil pan off and clean as much of the gunk as you can out of it.When you take the motor apart you want to make sure that you clean the parts so there free of any grime on both the top end and the bottom end. When you put it back together iI recommend that you run engine flush through the motor to clean any residual sludge.Hopefully this will help clean the oil ports in the bearings of any sludge.I would flush it at least 2 times and then put oil in it.Change the oil after 2000 miles and then change it every 3000 miles.Just remember you must make sure that you clean the motor real good before putting it back together. You could save yourself any future problems by also replacing the connecting rod bearings.

Timing belt broke on hyundai accent how do i replace it and the timing marks

1st you may want make sure that's not an interference engine. if it is then chances are the valves are bend in the head. changing the timing belt probably won't help then. If its not an interference head, then you would need a timing mark diagram which can be found online. be very careful that all marks are aligned. when finshed installing the timing belt, rotate engine by hand twice and re-align marks before putting the rest back together! hyundai should be able to tell u if the engine runs interference or not.

Hello I just replace my motor mounts had to pull muffler from motor put back and it sounds loud so i took it off went to auto zone and the clerk said i needed the donut so after i drilled out the busted...

sounds like the manifold gasket is bad, or the exhaust pipe coming from the manifold head was not properly seated. Got back to auto zone and get a repair/maintence manual for your car , and it should help you get the manifold head gasket/muffler assembly back together.

Head lamp bulb change

I've done this once, so i'll do my best to help you here. You'll need some sort of light you can shine to do this. First you need to unplug the headlight plug from the assembly. Next there will be a rubbery boot you also need to take off, this just pulls right off. This next part is where it gets sticky. There is a phillips screw that holds down a flexible pin/clamp/whatever you want to call it down against the back of the bulb. Unscrew the screw enough to remove the pin, you won't need to completely remove the screw though to remove the pin. Once you have the pin removed, you can then get at the bulb. The bulb itself has 3 points, like a down-ward arrow. Line up the 2 points that are closer together with the top and just slide the bulb in WITHOUT TOUCHING THE GLASS of the bulb. If you touch the glass, say goodbye to the bulb's life. To put it back together, get the bulb in, the pin screwed down and reverse the rest of the process. Hope this helps.
