crankshaft position sensor location for 3.3 V6 engine is mounted at the rear of the engine on transmission bellhousing, the 3.5 V6 engine crankshaft sensor located at front of the engine on the aluminum oil pan section below crankshaft pulley.replace the crankshaft position sensor remove heat shield disconnect the electrical connector the remove sensor retaining bolt then remove crankshaft sensor.after replacing crankshaft sensor you need to erase code if check light come back on.
If you have a distrubutor it is located in the side.Books says you have to turn the crank with a breaker bar to align the slots.Well hope this helps, and good lock.
The V6 engine uses two seperate crankshaft sensors to provide two different types of signals. The 24X sensor is mounted behind the harmonic balancer, or crank pulley. This input generates 24 pulses per engine revolution.
The second crankshaft sensor is a 7X sensor that is located on the center rear area of the engine block. As the name implies, it produce 7 pulses per engine revolution.
Good Luck
Is this a V6 or 4cyl???>>>(V6) This requires removing the Harmonic balancer (crankshaft pulley). Remove (R) front wheel, remove engine splash Guard, Remove crank pulley, remove lower timing belt cover. The Crank sensor is located behind the crank shaft pulley!! I highly recommend having this done by a certified tech, requires special tools. Hopefully this helps!!
HAS TWO KNOCK SENSORS they are both under intake in valley of engine. remove intake and will see two black grommets they are under those best to replace both at same time
