This sounds like the DTRL module is bad and needs replacing. the fog lights the bulbs them self could be burnt out or the switch for the lights has a problem.

SOURCE: Both Head light are out but high beems work and fogs work fine

The fuse for high beams is No.35 (20amp) in the interior fuse panel. There is also a relay R03 also located in the interior fuse panel.

Go to this website and pick owner guides on left task bar, input vehicle info then pick get owner guides, then pick owner guide 5th printing. Your fuse panel info begins on page 251 for the interior fuse panel.

Have the daytime running light problem wont shut off changed switch just pulled fuse 31@33 fuse box under hood they were very hot but not blown now what can of worms did i open now

You don't need DRL if it s not a required pass test. pull the fuses and relays. DRL is controlled by the BCM( body control module). Your can of worms can be costly..If your lights work, pull the fuses.

You don't have daytime running lights but you do have automatic light control. The design engineers reasoned that you would not need fog lights unless you were running with headlights on under foggy conditions so these functions are controlled by logic and can't be separated without rewiring

High beam indicator comes on with fog lights

Could your Mazda have daytime running lights? If you checked all fuses, did that include the three in the joint box?

There is an auto light-off control module that is central to all functions you describe. It is assumed that you would only turn on the fog lights with headlights on and set for high beam. If you set the headlight switch to LOW, the module closes the headlight relay to turn on the low beams. If you then turn the headlight switch to HIGH, the module turns on the high beams and allows you to turn on the FOG LIGHT switch, closing the fog light relay and turning on the fog lights. Since this sequence is not working, I suggest checking both high beam lamps as both could be burned out. Other possibilities are a defective headlight switch or the module

Headlamps not working, fuses o.k., bulbs ok, replaced switch ok 98 chevy cavalier w/ daytime running lights . 2 relays on harness between headlamps one is for fog lamps, not sure of the other , cannot get...

are your daytime running lamps working. if they are according to the schematic there are 4 relays, fog lamp, fog lamp cut off, isolation, and daytime running lamp; 2 fuses: right and left, that supply volts to the headlamps. it's a little confusing though, because these schematics might have some mistakes. anyway, it looks like the drl relay.grounds the headlamps when the drl control in the micro processor located in the instrument cluster senses the headlamps have been turned on. this trips the relay and 12vdc is supplied. the dlr might be bad. otherwise, i would think you have a hardwire or connector problem.

If you have daytime running lights but when you turn on your regular headlight on they do not come on. Take the bottom of your steering column off (Two Small Screws) and look at the back of your turn/dimmer switch make sure that the light blue wire is connected. The wires will break off after years of raising and lowering your steering column.

2004 F150 headlights will not work the running lights work the fog lights work and the flash to pass and the switch has been changed works but still no bright or dim lights

Have you checked your fuses and relays? There's a few and not just one to check. The daytime running lights are on another relay than the headlamps.

Fog lights out on 2001 passat.

The only way a lot of bulbs can burn out at once is overvoltage. Check your charging voltage with the car running, using a multimeter. Should be 13.8 volts; with the car off, about 12.6.
