I want to chage the transmission filter on a 2003 Saturn ion with the af23 trans

If you are below 100 psi then you have a major leak inside the transmission. These will read upwards of 700 psi and require a special gauge to check line pressure. As far as fixing this there are limited parts available for this transmission and a replacement unit is big bucks. Take the car to your saturn dealer and see what they will do. These have a 5 year 75,000 miles warranty for the transmission, and most of them are covering up to and past 100,000 miles for customer satisfaction. If you dont know much or anything about this transmission do not attempt to repair it. Let the trained professional tech at saturn take care of this.
SOURCE: cant locate the oil filter or drain plug
the filter should be a cartridge type located underneath the enginecover plastic.it is usually on the right side of engine bay near the front of car.It will have a black plastic hex on the housing it is 1"and a quarter big and probably has a torque spec written on it something like 18 n-m or something.Hope it helps.

It should be on the drivers side and it looks like the oil dipstick. Usually the top of the handle is shaped like a " T ". Most of the time it will be yellow and say trans on it. It may be lower than the oil dipstick. Good luck.

If only the trunk release is not working, did you check to see if the little lever arm switch on the trunk lid at the latch assembly is switched to enable the release? Mine came switched to the 'Off' position when I bought it and it took me a few days to figure that one out.
SOURCE: location of drain plug and drain fill for
the drain plug and fill plug are on the drivers side right next to the subframe, the fill plug is back and above the left axle ,i get it from the drivers side with the wheel off and the drain plug you get from under the car ,,thats a tight one i actaully had to cut a allen wrench down to fit inbetween the trans and axle and its tight both to get the wrench in and realy tight to loosen use a breaker bar,,,,the fill plug is also tight,,,
