As per diagram, make sure that compression ring gaps are 180 degrees/opposite each other, also do not put gaps on thrust faces or above/inline with piston rod pin ...

Make sure you have enough ring gap as well, you need 3-4 though per every inch of bore, do this by placing ring into bore, push down about 1 1/2" with piston and check gap with a feeler gauge, if gap is insufficient you will need to file rings ....

Ive looked online and find nothing do i have to bring each piston up to install/adjust push rods and rockers on my 99 ford ranger 3.0 v6 need some feedback how to do it right

Look for a term called "valve lash". Some of this is different in overhead Cam engines. If you have hydraulic lifters, they need to be pumped full of oil. You would take a big socket to the crankshaft bolt and use a breaker bar to rotate the engine. Some lifters are not adjustable. Overhead cam engines have the lifter and no pushrods.

Look at a some other engine styles and see what yours is similar to. Like some want you to center the hydraulic lifter by turning the rocker adjustments a designated number of turns. Others want a gap that you use a feeler gauge to set the gap. Even others have a different gap for intake or exhaust valves.

These types of adjustments are often found in the "specification" section.

How to open the door on a 2004 altima if both of my handles dont work

There are f few ways. Bust the plastic handle off the outside . Make sure the door is not locked. If you can get inside the door this way and see a rod near the door handle. Push up and down [ usually down ] on this, door should open . OR Roll the window down. Pry up on the inner door panel by the rubber piece that clears your window. This piece should be able to pry up, enough to see the same rod I am talking about.Usually, these rods push down to open the door. #3 Roll up window, put a small wedge between the window and the door by the door handle. This should get the gap open enough to look down inside the door. Look for this same rod, near the door handle, and push down on it to open the door. replace Hope I was helpful please rate this solution

Hi what is the crank and conrond torque settings for a nissan RB30et and what the ring gap set that

Crank shaft main bearings.46-52 Nm tighten in 2 or three stages.
Con rod bearings 14-16 Nm1st step. 2nd step 39-45. Or if you have access to angle torque 60-65 degrees. Rule of thumb ring gap is .005" per inch of bore. eg 3" bore .015" ( thou of inch)

Did you follow instructions for adjusting the valve lash? Normally, you take out all gap at the circular part of the cam and then go another half or three quaters turn.

The brake light switch is located behind the brake pedal. pull driverside underdash panel off. After locating the brake light switch just depress the tab on the side, turn, and remove. install in reverse order. to set clearance gap of brake lamp switch before installing into vehicle. push travel rod all the way in and pull out 5 clicks

1999 GMC Sierra truck tailgate release latches are broken and gate won't open?

If you remove the ring around the handle you will get a better view of the two rods that connect the handle to the outter latches.The ring just snaps in.I think a flat head screw driver from the bottom works the best.Once you have access to the rods you can push the inward twords each other to pop the gate.If the are broken out twords the tail lights then a thin flat head in the gap betwen the tail lights and tail gate should be able to push the spring loaded latches in to pop the gate,but you may need to borrow a extra set of hands.Well hope this helps.

AC Clutch in Buick Lesabre

Rent the clutch tool from the parts house. Then remove the nut in the center of the clutch. It should have a washer as well. Set these aside and install the clutch removal tool per directions in the box. Remove the front hub with tool and be very careful so you don't drop the small group of flat washers that are inside. It is these washers that determine the space in the clutch gap. Simply add or remove washers to adjust the gap. Once the gap is set then re-assemble and test. Hope this helps get you cool again. 1997 ply voy, replaced trans and now engine misses.

Check the gap of the crankshaft position sensor. You can buy a stick-on button for it at a Chrysler dealer or just eyeball it and get close. The sticker attaches to the end of the sensor, when you install it you push it all the way down to touch the tone ring and tighten the bolt. When you hit the key to start, it scrapes the sticker off and you have the correct gap. Or you can loosen it, push it all the way down and then lift it up about one millimeter or so.
