If it is the factory fitted immobiliser it isn't worth trying. It is linked into too many electronic systems. Your better off using the correct key or a correct replacement key. You could also use a dealership to fix the problem but that will cost you money. Immobilisers are there to stop car theft so they are designed to be difficult to bypass.
The short answer is no you cannot easily bypass the immobiliser. This is done to prevent theft so they don' make it easy to do. You are better to try and work out why the immobiliser has operated and resolve this. There are several reasons why this might have occurred so it is no practical to cover everything here. You really need to get some specialist help.
you cannot disable the immobiliser. it is a system mercedes has put into to prevent theft. however, you can bypass the immobiliser (otherwise known as EIS, Electronic Ignition Switch) in order to switch ON the car, but you wont be able to start it.
what you need to do it remove the connector from the back of the EIS module and bridge terminals 15r and terminal 30. i recommend getting a wiring diagram specific to your car to be sure of the terminals.
If you are no thief, then you would shell out for a new key with a working immobilizes button. I am sure your insurance company will love you for immobilizing your immobilizes...not.
