Where is the 02 Oxygen Sensor before the cadalic converter on a 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe

Usually these are located on the exhaust manifold or just below the exhaust manifold and you should be able to see it in the engine bay. On V6 engines there will be one sensor on each of the 2 exhaust banks.
You will probably need to remove the engine cover to see the sensors on your exhaust.

If someone told you to replace these because you got a particular fault code I would be wary. A decent scan tool and basic diagnostics can show if the 02 sensor is working or not. Some faults often blamed on an 02 sensor are not due to faulty sensors.

How do I find where the cranckshaft sensor is located

Hello there!

Sorry to hear you are having problems with your ssr!
Correct me if I assume incorrectly, but the 2005 ssr was equipped with an LS2 6.0l v8.

On those engines (as well as many other SBC) the Crankshaft position sensor or CKP is mounted on the passengers side of the engine block, at the very back of the engine. You may have to remove the starter to gain full access to it , but it should be visible w/o doing so.

here are a few pictures to assist in the process(although not taken specifically of an ssr) in the diagram the CKP is number 6.

H2o bank 2 sensor 1 location

Bank and sensor location. Bank 1 refers to the back of cylinders that contain cylinder #1. Bank two refers to the other bank of cylinders that do not contain cylinder #1. Sensor 1 refers to the upstream O2 sensor or the O2 sensor before the catalytic convertor. Sensor 2 refers to the downstream O2 sensor or the sensor located after the Catalytic convertor. I hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions, good luck.

I have a 2000 intrepid and it blows the 02 ssr sensor everyday i put a 30 amp in it ran great for aweek then those started blowing what can i do to fix this?

Fuse for an Oxygen Sensor?
You don't use the car,you component
test the sensor or it's circuit & resolve the issue
For a fuse to blow you would need a failed heater circuit
in the sensor,so it basically faied
O2 Sensors get replaced every 100,000 miles or sooner if they fail
first.
You should have a MIL lamp on your dash & codes to be
checked

This is Bank 1 (closer to the dash panel) Sensor 2 (located after the catalytic converter).

Note: A malfunctioning front oxygen sensor may cause fuel trim codes to set.
  1. Several Diagnostic Trouble Codes use specific terminology to refer to sensor location. The illustration and key below explain the following terms:
  2. Engine BANK Bank 1 is closer to the dash panel, (also referred to as RH or right hand). Bank 2 is closer to the radiator, (also referred to as LH or left hand).
  3. UP Refers to Sensor 1 or "front sensor". It is located closer to the exhaust manifold and before the catalytic converter.
  4. DOWN Refers to Sensor 2 or "rear sensor." It is located after the catalytic converter.
  5. The following examples show how to interpret oxygen sensor terminology:
  6. B1/S1 = Bank 1/Sensor 1 = Dash panel side, BEFORE the catalyst or "upstream"
  7. B2/S2 = Bank 2/Sensor 2 = Radiator side, AFTER the catalyst or "downstream"

WHERE IS MY OXYGEN SENSOR LOCATED

On almost every car, there is an O2 sensor located in the front, on the exhaust pipe, or manifold, and there is an O2 sensor located after the Catalytic converter. The front O2 sensor is the most important because it monitors the air/fuel ratio. The rear O2 sensor checks your Cat converter for proper operation and filtering.

O2 sensor?

The O2 sensor is located in the exhaust pipe prior to the catalytic converter. You'll have to get under the vehicle to see it or replace it.
