Sounds like a blown diode in the alternator....Always disconnect negative battery cable when working around starter or alternator......Remove Alternator and have it checked....A noticeable whine or no magnetism at the rear bearing cup is an indication of bad diode....Red Battery light staying on, at the dash means not charging.........
Your SRS diagnostic module is registering a fault and needs to be looked at. While the SRS light is on your system is deactivated and will not deploy incase there is an accident.
I agree with timmyb187. The dealership will test for codes and see
exactly what sensor might be putting that light on. Under the bumper
are sensors for the airbag. There could be a harness that got cut
because of the accident.
Hi there... i would be cautious with purchasing that vehicle. It may not have been in an accident but if the airbag light is on that means that there is something wrong with it. Either the sensor or the bag itself. Could turn out to be nothing at all but then could be something that could cause injury. Other thing to keep in mind is if you are ever in an accident where the airbag should deploy and it doesn't you could run the risk of severe injury. Have the dealer repair the problem if you really want the vehicle. Put it in writing on the contract so you can back it up if anything should go wrong.
