Do you have a button on the trunk itself? Mine wont open from inside car, but I have a 2011 checy cruze, and theres a button under the trunk, that pushes in and it opens

PENDING ON THE YEAR, THERE IS A SMALL SLIDE BUTTON ON THE INSIDE OF THE TRUNK THAT MAY HAVE BEEN HIT BY A BOX WHILE MOVING THIS IS A SAFETY AND ARE A PROBLEM. FOLD DOWN OR REMOVE THE BACK SEAT AND SEE IF YOU CAN SEE THE BUTTON NEXT TO THE TRUNK LATCH IT IS PART OF THE TRUNK LATCH AND NOT EASY TO SEE . IF THE TRUNK IS LOADED IT'S GOING TO BE TOUGH TO GET TO . I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY WIFES CAR AND TOOK ME THE LONGEST TIME TO FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM. IT'S SOME KIND OF SAFETY THEY PUT IN THE TRUNK IF SOME ONE EVER GOT STUCK IN THE TRUNK. HOPE THIS HELPS

auto trunk latch is stuck down try putting key in the lock hole and opening the trunk switch maybe it will rise.

WHEN YOU SAY THAT THE TRUNK WONT OPEN, DO YOU MEAN FROM THE INSIDE OR THE OUT?
WELL IF YOU CANT OPEN THE TRUNK FROM THE INSIDE. TRY OPENING IT FROM THE BACK WITH THE KEY. ONCWE YOU OPEN IT LOOK WHERE THE TRUNK LID MEETS THE CAR WHERE IT MAKES IT S LOCKING CONNECTION. ON THE LEFT SIDE THERE IS A MECHANISM THAT YOU PUSH IN SO YOU CANT OPENING IT. JUST PULL IT AND IT WILL ALLOW YOU TO OPEN THE TRUNK FROM THE INSIDE. GOOD LUCK.

By switching the lever you locked the inside trunk release, you will need to put lever back. as far as the trunk you may need to remove the rear seat, pop lower part out and then remove the bolts to the top half of the seat then try to reach the lever so it will open from the inside. i've found that many of these cars with the pop lever inside have sticking trunk locks from not being used, what you do first is spary lock good,with wd40 or pb blaster then slide key in and out and try to turn this may take a whhile but it works then tumbler will free up, you just have to keep spraying inside lock and working the key.

First off, Check for obstuction/s in or around solenoid drive drive rod.Second,if no problem found.clean up and lubricate contact jaws with white lithium grease. and you should be good to go. While you have the grease in your hand LUBRICATE the door strikers too. Hope this cures you ailment

Make sure the drivers door is open and push the button on the drivers door to open trunk. Keep the drivers door open while you open trunk. If you close the drivers door before opening it, it won't open. Well this is what happens to our car. Don't know if it's a fault or the design but this does work for us.

Yes, it has a fuse but I do not have a diagram unfortunately. Or it could be your indicator switch on the inside driver's side of the trunk. The remote will not work if the trunk is already open OR if the switch is bad/not contacting the stopper (at the base of the trunk) and falsley telling the PCM that the trunk is ajar. But if this were the problem, your should be getting a warning that your "trunk is ajar" from the onboard warning display on the guage cluster. The switch is cheesy...had to replace mine.
