hi , do you think if I replace crank sensor will solve the problem ,my jeep .... Where's the crankshaft located in 99 jeep grand Cherokee laredo .
does it run? wow no symptoms, why make this so hard?????
did you read the FSM yet,, no.
did you see it free here.
P1391
loose of CMP/CKP
English, the cam or crank sensors are not firing right.
1 in 10 pulses will trip this (bad) or dead.
For some reason you question has been duplicated several times, so I will answer this one. Code 1391 may be a problem with the ABS system, the other three codes are concerning the first 3 coils. Your engine has direct spark so each cylinder has its own coil. I would clear the codes and see which ones come back after a test drive. If the three coil codes come back the coils would need to be tested.
If you're saying that you already had the troublesome crank sensor replaced then maybe your electrical connections to the sensor is bad, somewhere, along the way to the ecu.
The P1391 code indicates that the crank or cam sensor(s) have sent an intermitant code to the ecm. The most common cause for this is loose wiring or debris on the contacts of one of the sensors.
and the engine size is????? after spending all that money on parts, its time to have a qualified repair shop look at it. po352 involves #2 coil circuit.
could be a crank or cam sensor beginning to fail, or a bad harness connection at either. Usually though you would feel a problem there as both are necessary to keep the engine running.
