Here is the firing order and spark plug wire routing diagram for a 2006 Chevy Impala LT 3.9 V6:
Firing order: 1-2-3-4-5-6
Spark plug wire routing (starting from the driver's side):

• Cylinder 1: connect to the coil tower closest to the driver's side headlight
• Cylinder 3: connect to the coil tower next to cylinder 1
• Cylinder 5: connect to the coil tower next to cylinder 3
• Cylinder 2: connect to the coil tower closest to the passenger side headlight
• Cylinder 4: connect to the coil tower next to cylinder 2
• Cylinder 6: connect to the coil tower next to cylinder 4

Note: Make sure to route the wires properly to avoid cross-firing.

We do not have thses diagrams. There is a sticker under the hood that has the routing diagrams.

More important than the length is the routing of the wires to reduce chances of cross-feeding of the ignition pulse into another wire.
Don't know if any place shows the routing of the plug wires.. You may need to look at another engine like yours to see how the wires are routed and which length wire goes where. Good luck.

Hi Wanda, Below is a diagram for you. I would replace all the wires not just one. Remember the best way to do it is to replace one at a time so you don't forget how they are routed, I hope this helps and good luck.

This will require dash removal, the factory routing for the cable is behind and above the airbox. The easiest way to do it if you have not already pulled the old one out is to attach a piece of 16 guage wire to one end of the factory cable before you pull it out, and then when you pull out the old cable it will in turn pull the 16 guage wire through in its place. At this point attach the new cable to the 16 guage wire and pull the 16 guage wire through which will in turn pull your new cable through. If you have already pulled the old cable out and want to install the new through the same route then you will have to remove the airbox, or you can just reroute the new cable.
