When aligning the camshafts make sure the arrows are pointed upward.
The crank pulley mark is on the trailing(rear) edge of the tooth, align the trailing edge of the tooth with the mark on the oil pump housing.

on the flywheel ,a rectangular hole the mark appears in this as the flywheel is turned

TIMING MARKS SHOULD BE A NOTCH ON THE CAM GEAR, AND ONE ON THE CRANK GEAR! THEY SHOULD BE LINED UP FACING EACH OTHER!
