Passenger side, front of engine, where the lower hose comes out of the engine, its behind the black plastic thermostat housing that is bolted to the aluminum front timing chain cover. Two bolts hold it on, 8mm socket gets them off.

sounds like it time to have the front end balljoints inspected. Only with an inspection will you get the proper results. Why guess, this is a safety issue.

My jeep 2000 Grand Cherokee Larado is over heating. I have changed the thermostat and coolant. The fan seems to stop turning when it over heats. What can be causing the fan to stop when it should be...

Replace the cooling fan clutch. It is the silverish round device that the fan attaches to. This component is heat sensitive and will only function correctly when hot. They are known to fail over time. Also inspect the radiator for good coolant flow. DO THIS when engine is cold only or have a shop check it out for you.
