your mode actuator is stuck. try unhooking battery for a few minutes when you hook back up actuators will do a relearn.if this does not work will need to have replaced
SOURCE: I need to remove the door panel on my 2004 Avalanche
There are plastic clips that hold the door panel inplace .. First look for any hidden screws near the door handle . there might be a little plastic cover that you need to remove with a small screw driver to find the screws.. look under the handle also to see if there are any hidden screws . next take a flat blade screw driver and start at the bottom corner and try gently prying the door panel off . try to stay close to the plastic clips not to damage them by prying real hard .. once you have snapped them loose all the way around .. lift up on the door panel to remove it from around the window lip and out it should come.. holler if you have any problems.. usually The mirrors on the chevys are up above the panel and there is a triangle plastic cover over it on the inside .. it will pry off also gently and there are 3 nuts there that need to be removed .. use caution these fall behind the door panel ... holler if you need more. this problem is caused in almost all cases by a failed actuator that moves the door insiode the heating/ac duct to change the outlet temperature, it is called the Air Temperature Control Blend Door actuator.
SOURCE: 08 avalanche pass side power door lock not working
if you have any knowledge of automotivce electrical, (and that you need to use a "circuit tester" and not a test light) test for power when someone presses the button. it wouldnt be uncommon for most vehicles for the lock actuator/solenoid/duty actuator to wear out, get weak and fail. this is most probable. given that this is an 08, have you checked withe dealer to see if its still under warranty. if we are only talking a few miles and they wont do anything, look in your owners handbook and get the 1 800 number and get GM's customer service involved. cheers.
SOURCE: I have a 2004 Chevy
I had a similar problem and thought to solve it my adding freon. When I made the connections I was surprised to find that the pressure was already higher than it should be.
Changed plan at that point and vented freon back into safe range. The A/C immediately began blowing cold again on both sides. Found out later that if the A/C had been serviced / filled on a cold day, that on a hot day in Texas it would be too high and cause the issues you noted.
