SOURCE: i cannot open the bonnet from the lever in the

Hello
We had a 2001 ford 1 ton diesel with the same issue. The plastic hand knob had snapped off. fortunetly we were able to grab onto the cable with a pair of vise grips and pull on the cable enough. Needless to say the entire mechanism was replaced right away. See if there is some way that you can grab onto the release cable and give it a good yank
cheers
Dennis

How do I open bonnet on a citroen ds3 when bonnet cable is broken

This will depend on where the break is. If it is broken nearest the lever inside the car you could grab the cable with a pair of grips and pull it that way.
Do you need to open the bonnet to get the vehicle started? If the car runs and drives normally take it to a Good mechanic and they will have the tools to get it open.
If the cable has broken nearer the bonnet release at the front of the car it will be a lot more work.
If you use a torch and look behind the badge on the front grille you might be able to use a long flat head screwdriver to hook the release lever to 'pop' the bonnet but some car manufacturers fit a metal plate behind the grille to stop you doing this.
You could try SAFELY raising the front of the car and see if you can get to it from underneath.
Your LAST and more expensive method would be to damage the front grille and get to it that way.

How to release the bonnet on a ford transit 2000

you will have to come up in front of the radiator with a long lever and push the latch lever sideways . Use a friend to push down on the bonnet as you push the lever as it will release the pressure on the latch and make it easier to move.

Nissan dead battery how do you open the bonnet?

Under the dash on the driver's side is a bonnet release. Pull the release towards the seat. This should release the first bonnet restraint.
Next, under the front of the bonnet is a secondary release lever. Slide this lever to the right and lift the bonnet.
On the right side of the engine compartment on top should be a prop rod for the bonnet. Put this into the receptacle hole on the bonnet.

Bonnet stuck down

If the inside latch won't work, you'll have to reach up from underneath the hood to pull the lever over to open. Usually a flatblade screwdriver will help. The latch lever has to move towards driver's side to open.

Broken Hood Release

Hello There

In short no there isn't, however it's most likely your plastic release lever is broken and not the metal cable, you need to open the cover over the release lever, there will be a cable you can pull using a gripper and it will release the bonnet, you can easily replace the plastic llever and it's reletively cheap.

Hope this helps, please don't forget to rate me.
