Question about 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Posted by Anonymous on
Old post, i like the question,
the answer is easy on all computers on earth.
the puter (it's a microprocessor really) has DC power
when the capacitors there, discharge, then the processor stops
processing , (like lamp that dies, same way)
so how long, ?
that depend on the size of that cap. and the processor +loads.
so, we dont know that, NOR CARE.
it takes 1 minute on some. or milliseconds others.
on the air bags , way way longer. (by DESIGN)
its like asking,
who fast can my take of water here, drain.
there is NO ANSWER,
with out inputs and facts, not given.
(it also depends on other things shared on power feed if they have caps, so that the total parallel cap values can be very high and slow the discharge,
tricks? (varies by year and car, (design)
short the battery cables, battery disconnect.
some car hit brakes does this (battery neg lug pulled)
other cars head lights. (battery neg pulled.)
but newer cars all that is dead. key off battery out.
relays are open then and only the battery trick works. on new cars.
also on new cars there is a memory bus and a set of fuses
the are hot all the time to every processor in the car./
my Jeep has that. 2008
so only the battery pulled , gets all power dead.
