I have a 1994 ford explorer sport, im trying to figure out whether or not its a 4.0L pushrod v6 or a 4.0L sohc v6

if the moter says sohc on the valve cover that means the cam is in the head but most ford V6 motors have the cam in the block making it have pushrods.

How can I tell if I have the SOHC or pushrod 4.0litre engine in my 2000 Ford Explorer Sport?

The vin number is the easiest way to tell for sure, if you can give me the vin i can help you with that, also typically the sohc has a engine cover that says sohc. Please rate this answer as that is my only compensation. Thankyou
