Code 1150 on a 1997 ford f 150 with a 4.2 motor

I will try to paste an article for you. Several sources indicate this is a Bank 2 O2 sensor problem and that it is failing to switch and adjust for the fuel mix. But as you can see, many defects can lead up to this O2 sensor Code 1150.

I would try to use a spray bottle of water and go around the Intake manifold and spray the water while the engine is running. An intake leak will draw water into the engine and change RPM.

If no success then try changing the O2 bank 2 sensor. You may need to wipe the computer and clear the Code. H40 DTCs P1131, P1132, P1151 AND P1152: UPSTREAM HO2S NOT SWITCHING. DTC P1130: FUEL SYSTEMicon1.png NOT SWITCHING AT FUELicon1.png TRIM (RICH OR LEAN)
Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) P1131 bank 1 (Cylinder 1) and P1151 bank 2 indicate the fuel/air ratio is correcting rich for an overly lean condition. The HO2S voltage is less than 0.45 volt. DTCs P1132 bank 1 (Cylinder 1) and P1152 bank 2 indicate the fuel/air ratio is correcting lean for an overly rich condition. The HO2S voltage is greater than 0.45 volt.
DTC P1130 and P1150 indicate the fuel control system has reached maximum compensation for a lean or rich condition and the HO2S is not switching.
DTC/HO2S Reference List
•HO2S-11 = DTCs P1131, P1132 and P1130
•HO2S-21 = DTCs P1151, P1152 and P1150
Possible causes:
Fuel system
•Excessive fuel pressure.
•Leaking fuel injector(s).
•Leaking fuel pressure regulator.
•Low fuel pressure or running out of fuel.
•Contaminated fuel injector(s)
•Vapor recovery system
Induction system
•Air leaks after the MAF.
•Vacuum leaks (vacuum lines and gaskets).
•Restricted air inlet.
•PCV system.
•Improperly seated engineicon1.png oil dipstick.
EGR System
•Leaking gasket.
•Stuck open EGR valve.
•Leaking diaphragm.
Base engine
•Oil overfill.
•Cam timing.
•Cylinder compression.
•Exhaust leaks before or near the HO2Ss.
•Check intake air system for leaks, obstructions and damage.
•Check air cleaner element, air cleaner housing for blockage.

Codes P1132 @ P1152 what are they and where are they?

Upstream (forward most) oxygen sensor bank two (should be the passenger side). On the exhaust pipe close to the engine. You will have one on each side close to the motor and then one further back.

My 2002 grand marquis is using more gas than normal. auto zone read out listed codes p1132 & p1152 and indicated several probable causes for p1132 -1. leaking fuel injector bank 1, and 2. EGR stuck...

P1132 --Lack of HO2S-11 Switch (Lean)
P1152 -Lack of HO2S-21 Switch (Rich)

You do not guess

You test or try things that do not involve money
or parts

Disconnect & Plug the vacuum hoses to EGR Valve
and test drive

Check for vacuum leaks, including the EVAP System.

You do not have leaking injectors or a bad pressure
regulator.

If you have a vacuum leak it would lean out the
exhaust gases & the O2 Sensor would sense that
& tell the PCM to increase injector pulse width, thus you
go rich,then lean etc.

Stay calm & use logic. No big deal.

If the egr was stuck open it wouldn't idle very well.
Still could be bad.

02 F150 4.2 BUCKING AND SKIPPING, 4 CODES, P1152,

An additional clarification to terian_5's suggestion of checking the vacuum lines, usually the rubber elbow on the back of the throttle body gets cracks in it.
Remove the plastic throttle body cover, and check the rubber elbow, and the vacuum line for this. You might have to look close, sometime they are hard to see.

Ignore the IAC notation in this picture, it is the best one I have that shows the rubber elbow, it is the elbow right below the text

This is ~ 20.00 ( + tax/ship ) from Ford to get a new one. Replace this, clear the codes and do 2 driver cycles ( steady throttle up to 47 mph min, back to a stop and back up to 47 mph again ).
If you do not have a code scanner to clear the codes, disconnect the battery fro ~ 10 min, reconnect battery, start let idle to warm up, and do 2 drive cycles.

Check-engine light on

P1132 is front 02 bank 1 and P1152 is front 02 bank 2
This codes indicate a rich condition. I would check for a dirty air filter or a dirty MAF sensor.

Truck codes p1132 and p1152

Hi,

P1132 = Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch - Sensor Indicates Rich - Bank No. 1
P1152 = Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch - Sensor Indicates Rich - Bank No. 2

It sounds to me like the oxygen sensors (between the engine and catalytic converters) should be replaced. Good luck!
