Make sure you have connected the remote amp wire. This should be blue/white on the radio and connected to the blue/white on the GMOS-4.

SOURCE: Radio will not shut off once key is removed...

radios have two feeds one from the ignition and one permanent live. if this is the case then you will find they have not fitted in correct order or even in some cases not at all on the ignition as it does not realy need it. you will also find if the stereo is brand new that all the cables will be clearly marked with a tag and you will have to disconnect the cable for the connection to the car warnign system.

SOURCE: key won't turn in the ignition

You may need to have they key reprogrammed at your local dealer. The keys have a transponder built in them as an anti theft device. If the transponder becomes damaged, it will need reprogramming or replacement. *NOTE* This costs MUCH more than just having your key copied (between $30 and $75 US)

Trying to install a aftermarket radio in my 2004 Oldsmobile Alero I wired color it won't come on

You wired color ? Hooking up an aftermarket radio on your vehicle requires a special interface module , that may not be the name it's called . You better check at a stereo shop that installs radios . Your vehicles radio is connected on what is referred to as class 2 serial data communication network .
Class 2 Serial Data Link
The following modules use the class 2 serial data link to communicate with each other:
?ā‚¬Ā¢
The body control module (BCM)

?ā‚¬Ā¢
The digital radio receiver (DRR)

?ā‚¬Ā¢
The electronic brake control module (EBCM)

?ā‚¬Ā¢
The inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module (SDM)

?ā‚¬Ā¢
The powertrain control module (PCM)

?ā‚¬Ā¢
The radio

?ā‚¬Ā¢
The vehicle theft deterrent (VTD)

The class 2 serial data link also allows a scan tool to communicate with the above modules for diagnostic and testing purposes.
The class 2 serial data link on this vehicle is configured in a star pattern. There is no redundant path for the serial data to flow through. If a class 2 serial data circuit develops an open condition, the module connected by that circuit will not be able to communicate.
If not hooked up right the vehicle may not even start .

2005 caddy sts .want to change radio to big screen nav ,bluetooth .will all buttons still work on wheel and mirror

You will probably lose some functionality with an aftermarket radio. There are interface wiring adapters that will allow installation without needing to cut the vehicle's wires (highly recommended) and restore some functions (such as chime notifications) but in all likelihood - not everything. Crutchfield has some good info on what fits / works with different vehicles.

Why do my seek button, power button and the bluetooth not work

Are these on the radio itself or on the steering wheel? If the radio, you may need to pull the radio fuse (Warning! This will delete any and all saved Bluetooth devices, radio station presets, clock, eq settings, bal and fade settings, etc) and then try it again. If the issue is with the steering wheel controls, and you have an aftermarket radio most often you will need an adapter to connect the new radio to the steering wheel as well as a radio that has that capability.

How to connect bluetooth

Your car did not come with a Bluetooth receiver as standard equipment. You would either have to purchase and install (have installed) an aftermarket Bluetooth receiver, or an aftermarket radio that has Bluetooth.

Installin a panasonic radio mvh p 8200 bt in my 325 ci bmw and i need a schematic diagram for the hook up to allow the steering wheel controls to control the new radio , could you help me

There is no direct wire connection, you are going to need an interface device. I would suggest using an AXXESS AWSC. Here is the link to the instructions for it... here

I nned to know how to set up bluetooth in my car. it has all the functions on the steering wheel but I dont know how to set it all up . I also cannot find my manual !

You need to have the Bluetooth code (a four digit number that should be with your vehicle documents)
- Turn Bluetooth at your phone.
- With the car ignition key at Position 0 (Off), pressand hold the phone key on your steering wheel.
- Whilst still holding the phone key down, turn the ignition key to position 1.
- release the phone key after about 3 seconds.
- The car display should then show "BLUETOOTH PAIRING" or similar.
- Search for new bluetooth devices with your phone.
- When the BMW unit is detected, select and enter the 4 digit PIN.
- Your phone should now work via the cars Bluetooth interface

CTS in dash navigation system

There is a company called PAC that specializes in modules like you describe - keeping the steering wheel controls functional with an aftermarket radio.

Click HERE to visit their site. You have to choose a compatible manufacturer. Basically - it is turning the steering wheel controls into a "remote" hidden in the dash.

CLICK HERE for the PAC installation guide for the 2006 CTS

For best results and compatibility, look for a shop in your area that carries PAC - it is a common manufacturer in the BIZ, and have them install it.

The simple answer to your question is YES as long as you use the module compatible for the brand of radio you are installing.
