Check fuel filter/filters or just replace em than try it if nothing its carb time or injector issues or bad fuel try gas line/tank water remover iso heat is better if nothing still the carb needs a rebuild or the injectors are to blame

1963 CHEVY SS w/396/360HP. Wan't start after getting hot. New starter twice. Starter wan't energize.

is it carborated or fuel injected, most fuel injection systems have a automatic shut off if the engine is too hot, make sure the engine is not over heating or possibly the fuel injection sensor could be faulty

89 oldsmobile 88 won't start. Drove it for awhile and then turned it off. Next time it wouldn't start. I smell gas so I don't know what is wrong.

Is it Carborated?

If so, you may have a fuel leak at the intake/carborator gasket. Pull the carb, and replace the gasket. Also make sure that the air/fuel mixture is set right -

If it is fuel injected: you may need to replace the fuel pump relay, fuel pump, and you may need to have the battery, alternator checked. make sure the starter connections, and battery terminals are secure and free of debris, corrosion, acid build up as these will limit or withhold current.
I hope this information is useful and aides in the success of fixing this issue.

Take carborator cleaner. First take off the big hose on the front of your intake then press gas peddal to open up and then spray it inside this fixed my problem. Jerry
