SOURCE: Service Ride Control has come on

The vehicle needs to be put on a scanner and checked. This system is too complex to check once you have checked the fuses are replaced or OK. Do your best to make a friend at the dealership and see if a tech is willing to give it a quick scan. The trouble codes will then point you to the problem. Only a dealer scanner will work. With the trouble code / problem diagnosis (i.e.C0660 exhaust valve circuit malfunction) we can help further.

SOURCE: "check ride control" /suspension problems?

That is an indication that your air shocks at the rear needs to be replaced or there is a sensor that may have gone bad, event the air pump mey not be working. Most owners replace the more expensive air shocks with good conventional shocks like Monroe Reflex Shocks if there not towing heavy trailers. You can have the conventional shocks installed and have the ride control system deactivated. First check your fuse just t make sure the fuse to the air compressor has not gone bad, and the air ride leveling sensor, wire harness has not been damaged due to corrosion.

SOURCE: service ride control

The fuse is called RTD 30 amp under the hoodfuse box. That is for the Air Compressor.

Parts.com has the best price for:

Rear Suspension:
Shock W/auto level control - 1500 series

and under
electrical:
then ride control components
then compressor

Air suspension has failed or a part of it. There are sensors and control arms at every wheel. Get a scanner on it and it will lead you to the suspected wheel.

Front end noise, steering or suspension on 2010 GL350 BluTec

Suspension and steering noises also need to be checked out as soon as possible to be safe. When a suspension component, such as a tie rod end or a ball joint is badly worn, it can separate, sometimes even causing the vehicle to lose control. If you hear a knocking or other noise from the steering or suspension, have it checked out. Here are few examples of the typical suspension and steering noises. Of course, there could be a lot more problems in the suspension and steering that can cause various noises. Any noise should be properly diagnosed.

Can't find the fuel reset button. Have been looking for over an hour and taken the panels completely off. Can you help?

Try checking behind the panels in the rear cargo area. It is usually on the Drivers side, but may be hidden behind the jack. Many are located behind the front kick panels, but on the SUV with Air suspension they usually pair up the fuel Reset switch with the Air suspension because they have to allow for accessibility for the Air ride switch everytime it is put on a hoist.

Sometimes the fuel fill is in the way and they just move the controls to the opposite side.

Air suspension light

The air ride suspension light turns on when for whatever reason the air ride suspention is NOT on. So, either the suspension switch in the trunk is turned off, or you have a problem with your air ride suspension. I ran into the same thing last week. When I checked the switch in the trunk, sure enough it was switched on. I flipped the switch off, turned the car on and then flipped the switch in the trunk to on position. It has been fine ever since. Give it a try. GOOD LUCK.

It will be fine as long as it isn't bottoming out. Drive slow over bumps. Do you hear the compressor running? Have you checked the Air suspension fuse?

92 lincoln towncar air bag light flashing

Air suspension is controlled by the compressor in your engine compartment.  The compressor runs when the suspension is not level.  Either because you have loaded the car with exceptional weight and the system is now adjusting the ride, or you have a leak in the system, or you have a bad sensor.
If you have a leak, the most likely culprit are the air suspension bags, the air suspension solenoids or possibly the lines to them.

I don't work for either of them.  I own a 96 TC and have replaced my air suspension with coil springs form Strutmasters.  Work GREAT and I have no more air suspension problems.  Rides just as good too.  You can't tell the difference.
