I have a 2000 focus SE wagon and I have electrical problems that are getting worse. First my cruise stopprd working, then my interior lights worked intermittently, then my engine cranked but would not start occationally, now my radio blinks but still sounds fine. Is there any common denominator here?o

SOURCE: cruise control

The cruise control should have a fuse in the interior fuse block, and a larger fuse and/or relay under hood in the relay center block. Test them with an automotive test light (You can purchase these for anywhere from $5.00 to $50.00 depending on the quality you want and the place of purchase).

If you find a bad fuse or primary fuse, obviously those need to be replaced. Relays can't be tested readily using the light. Unfortunately the simplest method for finding out if a relay is bad is to replace it. The relay for that cruise runs between $15.00 to $20.00 depending where you purchase.

Let me know how it goes and we'll see what more we can do!

SOURCE: Radio and interior dome lights have no power.

I just had the same problem with my 2001 escape from relacing the radio and wires accidently crossed. I switched both fuses like you said, and got no where...until....I noticed there is a 10 fuse hidden on the far right side of the panel, closest to the brake pedal. The fuse actually runs vertical unlike any of the other fuses which run horizontal, so it is kind of hidden..try that fuse, it should solve your problem, if not then I don't know sorry..

I have a 2000 volks wagon passat, my cruise control stopped working, what can i do?

Check all the fuses for it. If they are OK, check the vacuum lines going to and from the unit for any leaks or hoses that have hardened ends etc. Also check the throttle cables/supports are not too loose or damaged, stuck etc. If they are all OK, most likely the vacuum control unit is bad, assuming there is no electrical problem.

Ford focus station wagon looking for where tail light fuse is

There are 4 fuses you would need to check in the interior fuse panel.
The first one is fuse no.32(10amp) then check no. 33 (15amp) then no. 59 (7.5 amp) and no. 61 (7.5 amp)

I have a 2001 Focus station wagon. the cruise control will not engage. And the high beams will not stay on (I can flick them, but they won't stay). Are these loose switches of some sort, that I could...

I would check the easy things first. That is the brake switch and the clutch switch (manual trans). Drive down the road and pull the brake pedal up with your foot and then try to set the cruise (same with the clutch pedal). Also the cruise requires that the brake light bulbs be in working order (and that there are no LED brake lights). Check fuse numbers 53 54 and 59.
The high beam problem might be related to the cruise issue, but I can't think of a reason why.
