Did you look them up,?
The FSM covers all DTC.s
as does alldata;.com
300s is random misfire.
im not looking them up until you post symtoms. id dont do codes blind now.
I haveta rev the motor up to 4000-5000 rpms for it to barely go. I hear the misfire.
I never posted a PROBLEM, I have a brand new vehicle.
josh car is 1999 , no new. The DTC mean to look them up in the FSM, the FSM shows what test to perform to finish the diagnosis. The PCM is not inteligent at all, it just reports bad inputs, the tech must learn to find true cause.
josh no engine size. stated, 5.7L or 6.5L ill guess, 5.7 and post
327 =Knock Sensor (KS) Circuit
502,-=Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)
724, = Brake Switch Circuit High Input but says, no 502s first.
1870=Transmission Component Slipping
It's a 5.7. Would these codes mean the transmission or torque converter?
those are just the titles. not what to do or what is bad. as you may no know , some failures, cause others. id ignore 1870 for now. but then again not one symptom posted, are you saying the car drives perfect, no pinging, powerloss, misfire. The misfire is real , i can tell you that, it is misfiring.....
since the knock sensor is acting up, (id suspect lean conditions)
too lean, and would connect my scan tool and see all live sensor data. and see if some are wrong or skewed. then work that. This is what your mech would do, hed, not guess. he would conduct many tests.
The only symptom I have is I was driving down the road and all of a sudden the car didn't want to go anymore. I had to rev it up to 4000-5000 rpms for it to barley want to move. I took to a shop they pulled codes stated there were metal shaving in transmission pan wanted $1200-1500 to fix it but couldn't tell me what was wrong
ahh, its not just DTCs you have real driving sysmptoms. lost engine power. P0300s are just that, p300s is random misfire. my guess is the car has many problems. both the engine and tranny, my guess is the ENGINE EFI is running lean, Misfire is 8 bad sparkpulgs (tuneup time) or running lean, (knock sensor , hit with LEAN) and 300s mean , lost power on this power strock, that is what misfire is to the ECU. and on all cylinders random. The trans slip code can be true. or false. some tranny use ENGINE RPM and tail shaft RPM to see slip. but if the engine RPM sensors are acting up it might give a false 1870, the FSM shows that test, and says to not look here , and lists all other DTCs to fix first and does list many of yours. id get the engine running right and see what DTCs happen then,, but i do know fixing a cars engine with a bad tranny is costly . I can see your tach, or shift your gears, but seem the tranny has FLARE, (gross slip) why only lost of testing will solve that. (the FSM covers this under ONCE A/T checks) one is to check tranny pump pressure. if low, that is it. end story. i bet the 2nd test fails too the tranny STALL test.
so you are in drive, an at 4000 rpm and car wont acceleratet.
that is gross slip or FLARE and burns up the tranny bands/clutch plack disc (not the TC)
no tranny man can tell what parts or set of parts are bad for flare. no one, hed be god like to do that... lots of parts. i could just be one seal or o-ring bad, causing huge pump pressure loss or 1 metal filing jamped in a check ball, and bam , end or road. I think the 1870 is real. as you felt by seat of pants, here is how that code works the transmissing is shifted by PCM tables (or TCM) and has limit for each gear based on calculated loads. for shift points. (and driver demend) and also a max slip allowed at all load factorys. (flat or hills) if out side that limit, bam you get a DTC. its is that simple. newer cars have newer tranny with a new front sensor, in the tranny this sensor , This means slip codes never lie.
point 2, use a real scan tool, one that can see ALL Chevy codes, and there maybe codes you have not seen yet, I call this the Autozoned effect. cheap tools dont see all the P1, p2 ,p2 codes,etc. near blind.

Call any auto part store.. I called Auto Zone they read them all off to me...now best of luck YOU got a P1870 ???
SOURCE: codes P0440 and P0300
the evap can simply be the gaz cap the 300 check for a good spark you may need wire and plug be carefull for those coil they offent defect good luck pierre

Only shows you what they mean, not how to repair them.
SOURCE: went for a smog check;
P1441 CHEVROLET - Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System Flow During Non-Purge
P0300 - Cylinder Misfire Detected Random Cylinders
Possible causes- Faulty spark plug 1
- Faulty ignition coils
- Ignition coils harness is open or shorted
- Ignition coils poor electrical connection
- Clogged or faulty fuel injectors
- Injectors harness is open or shorted
- Injectors poor electrical connection
- Improper spark plugs
- Insufficient cylinders compression
- Incorrect fuel pressure
- Intake air leak
if you noticed that the closes relation those two have to each other has to do with a leak possible vacuum leak. look for hoses or grommets that are very soft, loose, cut or disconnected. the other code P1870 pertains to a transmission component slipping you should not need that for a smog check to pass
