Air conditioning system orifice tube location
Best advice is the method i would use to located the orifice tube in the 2000 chevy venture. check the automotive repair book section in your local library. Most libraries have repair manuals on their automotive shelf section. find the a/c manual for your year and model car. make a copy of the page that has the information you need. you will need to make a copy because the library will not let those manuals be checked out. you might want to google for the location of the orifice tube location. The orifice tube restricts the flow of refrigerant to the evaporator. This restriction allows high pressure liquid freon to change into low pressure freon before entering the evaporator. The orifice tube is located inside the hose running between the condenser and the evaporator. You'll need an orifice tube removal kit if you are looking to remove it.

The service ports for Hi and Low pressure sides are different so if you are going to recharge R134a Refrigerant, the charging hose that cames with the kit will only fit the Low pressure side service port also called the Succion Side service. port.

FOLLOW FROM LOOKING FROM THE FRONT OF VEHICLE, THE LINES, PROBABLY LEFT SIDE FOLLOW LINES FROM RAD. 2PLASTIC NUTS, ONE IN ONE OUT. THERE WILL BE A SIGHT GLASS. HOOK YOUR RECHARGE BOTTLE ON THAT LINE, START CAR AND IT WILL DE PLEAT THE CANISTER. PROBABLY WILL TAKE 2 CANISTERS. GOOD LUCK.
