dear friend- it sounds to me that the shock mounting is at fault,if you lift the vehicle with a two post lift as high as you can then hit the wheel with both hands up words you will hear the knock.

SOURCE: When driving..light pops up that looks like a car

It sounds like it could be the traction control system or vehicle dynamic control system activating. These safety systems will usually come on when the road is slick due to wet or sandy roads. Also might come on if the computer thinks you are drifting into another lane to correct it. It is normal for the light to come on when the safety system is activated. If the light stays on solid all the time then there might be a problem with the system.

Testimonial: "very helpful! just purchased this car and was wondering if it was something major. it was sleeting when the light kept coming on..so this explains it."

SOURCE: bump noise from front right, smoth

It could be many things from the top strut mounting to a bush. More than likely it is a control bar drop link. The one that goes from the shocker strut to the roll bar. Hope this helps

Sounds like you have a suspension issue. Go out side and push up and down on the front and back of the vehicle. if you see alot of motion, i would recommend replacing some suspension parts

Driving over bumps and rough roads I hear and feel of loose clattering or cliking sounds,as something is loose

most likely your problem is the exhaust system bumping. If it sounds like it is coming from front of vehicle, it may be struts clunking. Rear shocks can also do this if they are worn.

Hearing clunk noises after going over bumps on the road..

Check the front struts ( shock absorber ) If original or very old, they are doing no good. Also check the front TORSION BAR rubber bushings. In low temps will groan and creak, on up and down motions.
