SOURCE: 2000 Chevy s10 starting problem
Check the ignition and Engine relay switches located under the hood. Sometimes relays go weak with age and even a bump on the road will shut them off. If you can turn the truck on, take it to Autozone or similar store for a free DTC scan code.

replace the distributor oil is leaking into the electronics of the distributor and shorting out pull cap back off and look and see if oil is leaking out

this year model is notorious for fuel related probs...check the remainder of the fuel system, injectors, and the fuel pressure regulator also verify that the fuel pump is actually running and getting the correct amount of power to the pump itself..... it may not be bad just not getting enough power

hello, i hope this helps, it sounds like an open relay (bad relay). try swithcing fuel pump relay with AC relay and retest..if no sucess, feel free to reply and ill try to E-DIAGNOSE it for ya...lol.......good luck, marty
SOURCE: car shuts off when it gets hot
your ignition coil are going bad, they need to be replaced. once the car gets hot the circuit shut down the car when hot. once they cool your riding again until they get hot. thats your problem. Good Luck
