Seems to hesitate during driving. Even while at a stop, you can feel the motor go up and down.

Doesn't matter if it is cold or not. Engine light goes on and off at times. We have replaces the o2 sensor, twice, and are stuck.

Have you had the truck scanned for codes? If so, what was the code, codes? Why did you replaced those listed parts. Can you hear any hissing noise coming from the engine or engine compartment?

SOURCE: Check Engine Light - O2 Sensor - bank 1 running lean

you should have three oxygen sensors on your car, one for each bank of three cylinders; should be towards the Y pipe on each exhaust manifold. Additionally you should have one on the exhaust pipe before the cadilitic converter.

SOURCE: 2001 chevy venture engine hesitating

there could be several reasons for this type of problem. the engine is controled through main computer(ECM) and the sensors assocciated with it. most often times a hesitation is commonly a idle issue and that would be monitored by the TPS ( throttle position sensor) if this is beginning to fail it sends faulty reradings to the computer and the computer tries to compensate and sometimes either leans or richens the fuel air mixture cause and effect is a engine stall or a hesitation. another factor is your (O2) sensors these monitor your exaust and tell the ECM to adjust accordingly the fuel mixture also. a sure fire way to tell if one ore more sensors are faulty is to either have your check engine light come on or if there is a rough start. if the check engine light isn't on then i would think there is a timing issue involved and a tune up is in order. the tune up is simple by just changing plugs and wires, however the timing is computer controled and can only be adjusted by a certified tech with the proper equipment. try and change the plugs and wires first this is the least expensive way to solve your problem. if the problem persists then take it to a shop and have a tech hook up diagnostic tools to check the ecm for fault codes to narrow down whatsensors if any are faulty.

SOURCE: Knock engine sensor light on truck is hesitating/

Did they replace the knock sensor?Check the wire going to the sensor(knock).Look for a bare place hiting up against something ,grounding it out.Make sure the plug to knock sensor is good. And make sure it is making a good connection,Knock sensors also ground a part of the computer to feed back imformation. This connection is a must, the truck will not perform at all, stumble, miss, and carry on.Sometimes even backfire. If they did not replace the knock sensor, replace it with high quality sensor from NAPA,or oem from dealer. This sensor has to be made perfect,no room for inperfection. The knock sensor is easy to replace, they just screw in a hole in the block. When removing the sensors, nothing will come out such as oil or water, this is a dry threaded hole.It is a bell shaped sensor. If you don`t know which sensor is bad, purchase one.replace one,and if there is no change, replace the other side with the old sensor you just took out,it will be a good one.I hope this helps you,Let us know if it does.

Car hesitates when first accelerating

Sound's like you might be having a sticking EGR valve. The EGR valve is located on the drivers rear of the engine. Sometimes hesitation is caused by adjustment problems in the TPS (Throttle position sensor). You may have to have a shop put it on the engine analyzer. Hope this helps. Good luck!

2002 Yukon Hesitation when starting- No checking engine lights!!

This can be fuel pump related or just fuel filter related, spark plugs and injectors.
When engine is cold vaporization of gasoline is minimum. When fuel vapor is less than required and the fuel mixture is not ideal, ignition happens harder than it does under ideal running conditions of engine. When fuel pups is sweak, or filter is limiting, or fuel injectors are not injecting gasoline with improper pattern inside engine, or just becasue of corroded spark plugs, cold engine faces difficulties during first ignition.

PS: sometimes car starts and stalls.it fails to start once more. this can be a sign of broken crank position sensor. FYI.

I have a 2001 jaguar xjr. For some reason after the car warms up, it seems to lose power. When you're on the accelerator, it seems like its cutting in and out and the supercharger isn't spooling up...

It could be you crank angle senser. When this happens try throwing some water on it and go for a test drive. When that cools down it will operate normally till it heats up .

98 Isuzu Trooper stalls on cold start, idle issues..

I had the same issue on my 99 Trooper.

It would usually start when completely cold, but idle around 2k RPM.
It would drive fine. But if I shut it down, ran into a store, and came back out, it would start but immediately idle.
Had to ride the gas a little to get it into gear.
The Check Engine light has been going on and off for 6 months or so.

I took this to my local trusted repair shop (no Isuzu dealers within 200 miles).
The diagnosed the light, and found that the Intake Gaskets were bad or leaking.
The idling problem was related to the car not being able to control the amount of air coming in.

They replaced the Intake gaskets by the next day, and I haven't had a problem since. And no more check engine light, which has been on half a year.

Here's some details from my bill:
(1) Intake Gasket set $107.95
Misc materials $21.00
2.1 hours of Labor

The total cost to me was $345.00, and I definately don't feel gipped.

2004 dodge caravan 2.4 Hesitates during Acceleration and at idele

You should definitely replace the fuel filter though this probably won't fix your hesitation. It wouldn't hurt to replace the spark plugs this is usually the culprit on these engine. I have the same engine in a '99 caravan and found the for some reason the spark plugs on cylinder 3 and 4 loosen up after one year and cause a misfire between 45 and 50 mph under load (when mildly accelerating).

Hesitation or stumble during acceleration

take your car for a tune up
if they are carburetor type motors you may need your carbie cleaned and a tune up
if you clean it your self with carbie cleaner it may increase in idle speed this is nothing to worries about it is a simple adjustment
with a carburetor type motor they tend to idle higher when their cold this is the automatic choke kicking in and normally it should happen till the car is a bit warmer and the accelerator has been depresses
although a car should idle at 800 rpm my paddok car dose when it is cold it idles at 1200rpm i like it this way as the car warms up quicker as i will not drive a car while it is cold
hope this helps
