SOURCE: 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Keeps stalling, engine

P0505 means the whole Idle Control system, not only the IAM. Check all related sensors (i.e. crankshaft sensor). Check with a voltmeter direct at the connector of the IAM if you get any signal. Remove the IAM from the TB, connect him, let someone switch your ignition key to ON. The IAM need to drive in/out for a short time to find the right position. Hold the IAM near a hard part, that they cant drive out completely! If IAM works fine, check the fuel pressure, check and clean your TB ( if not done yet). If that doesn't work, come back again please

check intake manifold air temp sensor and engine coolant sensor...one may be out of range but not enough to turn on dash light. tests and specs can be found in chiltons or haynes, test is done with digital multi-meter.

Here is a picture of the fuel filter location. If replacing filter does not fix the problem, check fuel pump pressure.

1996 jeep grand cherokee stalls when i put it in gear the RPM's drop down and it stalls it also acts up when i push on the brakes like its running out of gas. After it stalls it wont start unless i leave...

Try looking at your air filter. You could have a vacuum leak, like you already said. Also, check your coolant sensor and intake air temp sensor, if equipped.

02 jeep grand Cherokee 6 cyl seems to idle too high. When stopping ,vehicle wants to keep pulling forward and have to apply brakes harder to stop vehicle. Very troublesome in snowy conditions.

check for vacum leaks using a spray bottle of water  when the idle frops you found it  if water wont work try starting fluid or carb cleaner  if useing these the idle may increase  when you find it  replace/repair the hose and see if its still happending  could also be a combination of things  idle speed control motor idle air control motor  mass air flow sensor  good luck

Stalling

Look for a possible vacuum leak Use can of carburettor cleaner carefuly sprayed around inlet manifold and around injector seals.Spray with engine running and engine will instantly react to any leak no matter how small.Dont allow fan to blow onto paint as carb cleaner will damage it.
