You might have a circuit breaker getting weak in that circuit, as some manufacturers incorporate that, and it resets itself when key turned off. That might explain why inches after key turned off & on. Does your manual, or fuse panel have anything labeled as circuit breaker? Have a listen under dash on both sides of vehicle, and down near kick panels by feet area while someone tries window for you, and see if you can by chance hear circuit breaker trip (click) . Actually, get them to jog it down & it may be easier to hear & locate.

Problem is in the door and with the window regulators. Auto glass repair shop is recommended.. The glas may come loose from the regulator requiring some minor repairs to regulator.

2 sets (total 4) T30 Torx screws need to be removed.
The 2 holding the interior door handle grip / cup.
And then behind where the cup is, there are 2 more, that secure the door panel to the door.
FWIW, there are also 2 philips screws. One at the top, near the mirror. The second at the moveable door handle latch.
Lastly, of course, the standard "pop" sort of fasteners, around the perimeter on the 2 sides and bottom of the door panel. Also, there are 2 light blue plastic alignment posts (that do *not* fasten).
When re-assembling, make *sure* to properly catch / engage the door panel's top black plastic lip into the 3 hidden metal "U" holders, at the very top of the door panel.
