2005 accord drivers door lock no longer works electronically. I have to use the key to unlock the door, and physically push down the knob to lock the door. This prevents the remote from unlocking the other doors too.

A plastic clip that holds the lock linkage is probably broke or worn. You need to pull of the inner door panel to see whats going on inside. Use the remote and see whats happening. It could be bent rod in door from someone using a slim jim to unlock it when they locked the keys in it at some point. Bend the rod and try the remote again untill it works properly.

General advise:The lock is not ok.The same wires that lock the doors,unlock it.Before removing the lock:ceck fuses,door wiring link (near the door hinges)U may have to figure out the link covered in removabile rubber(it has a lock pin and must pull down in some cars rotate)U can clean it by air gun and contact cleaner.Rare:The door unlock pin (small plastic knob that u unlock manually from inside)has the rod dirty/stucked/twisted,ceck it to move loose.Also spray chain lube and wd40 anywhere in the lock u gain acces (the key hole,from sides,from the pin lock).U can see if it is stucked if the unlock knob has the intention to rise (small moves) but does not pop.Cheers.

If the key turns in the lock, but does nothing, then the linkage has become disconnected or broken. The key is mechanical to the lock and the lock has a electrical switch to operate the central locking unit. Could be a simple broken clip from the lock barrel. Hope this helps

Hi lockease works well,just spray it in the key hole,then take your key and work it back and forth like your trying to lock and unlock it.Just be careful not to use to much pressure that you break your key. Hope this helps if it does please rate it for me... Thank You, iluv2fish......... Ray

unlock the door then press the lock button on remote and hold down for 20/30 secs.manual does say hold button.....

Sounds like the button in the master switch, as all power must go through there. Also open door and between the door and jamb there will be a harness wiggle that while trying us the lock button, wires are known to brake there.

Press the passenger side door lock button. if the driver side door unlocks now but wont unlock when you hit the driver side door lock button, it is usually a network communication problem with the B CAN or a faulty Body Control Module.

I just had to do this on my car. There should be two small holes on either side where the lock is. take two screw drivers and push in on both at the same time while someone else wiggles out the lock.

CHECK THE KEY LOCKING UNIT RODS INNER AND WIRING CORRECTLY
