Ive checked the earth wires and connections for the fuel pump. but still no power through the wires 2 the pump

What make , model an year ? gen 2 what ?

the two thick wires are for the pump and the other two for the fuel gauge ,check for voltage at the pump if no voltage then follow the wires back to see if their is a connection somewhere ,also check the earth connection if no power in the two wires ,ie one probe onto the earth and the other to a suitable ground on the bodywork ,then continuety

check all fuses think fuse for pump is under drivers seat on uk models. If fuse ok check for power and earth at the connection on fuel pump. if power and earth possible fuel pump.

fuel gauge the tank sender is like a resister, no resistance to ground gauge goes up, i think you have a grounding fault in the earth wire, you will need to trace were the wire goes to or make a new feed, making a new earth feed can sometimes be better if you have a spare bulb and some wire to attach to it connect one wire to the live feed on the pump and then ground the earth wire on the shell if it lights up then its the ground that's at fault.

fuel pump voltage should be 12 volts or as near to it. relay has a voltage drop, 5-6 volts means there is a bad connection, faulty earth or a connection wire, could even be the relay,, check the earthing wire follows from the pump or make a new earthing connection. clean the earthing points on the shell from the batter, put some grease over the connection when clean and tightened,

CHECK FUSES FUEL PUMP RELAY/CHECK POWER AT FUEL PUMP TO HEAVEY WIRES ONE IS 12VOLTS LIVE OTHER IS EARTH GROND EARTH/ CHECK WITH TEST LAMP

disconnect plug at pump and put led test light across plug and check for a cicuit (using this method checks for power and earth circuits at same time) if there is a curcuit pump is shot,if no circiut you need to check to see which side is missing,no power check connections and fuses/relays,no earth check connections may be a kill switch aswell

Have you checked your ground wire to the pump?

could be a bad earth or [ground]
the power wire ma be brocken or have a loose or dirty connection
you neeed to trace it along its lenght to determine the fault!
so start at the pump & work back

if my memory is right there is a connector near chassis rail that comes from on top of fuel tank, 2 wire connector this is for pump you can check for power on wires from turning ignition to on position it should power up fuel pump for approx. 5 seconds then stop. will have continuous power while cranking (black with blue trace) other wire is black(earth) this is separate from tank sender unit. are you getting power at fuse check with test light if no power relay is not working.
