1999 Chevy Blazer 4.3, engine starts, runs about 5 second, dies and then won't start, if you wait 10 minutes it starts and runs fine, this happens once every few weeks/months or twice in one day, no set pattern. have already changed fuel pump, fuel filter and upper intake on top of throttlebody.
Check your crank and cam sensors...see if one is not plugged tight in
Temp sensor! It’s a variable resistor that alters fuel and spark to preserve the BS emission system based on engine temp.... lean engines run hot, rich engines cooler. So ecm uses that as its determining input to ruin your day and save the earth
How did u know this? I think my 2004 blazer may.have the same problem..its got fuel pressure and Scott spark in a brand new cap and rotor if I put fuel down the throttle body it'll start but I've noticed that every time I get in it the temp gauge keeps changing position right now it's about an inch past the red and the thing hasn't started in months
Why don't you take it to a qualified repair shop? 2003 to 2006 GM instrument clusters had faulty stepper motors that control the gauges. Suggest you look at this videohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTm2oDx-...
This is what is wrong with temp gauge , an has nothing to do with starting issue.

SOURCE: I have a 1993 Ford
Yes a fuel filter can cause the problem but I would say it's most likely the fuel pump or fuel pump relay. Can you hear the fuel pump running when you turn on the ignition?
SOURCE: truck starts, dies. truck runs good some days,bad the next
I had the same problem with My 1990 F150 300 6cylinder 4x4.....I cahnged all the same things you did, finally I sprayed a can of Gumout through the throttle body and it worked and ran great. Now I add fuel injector cleaner to the gas and a regular clean with the gumout and the problem has'nt come back. Good Luck to you and hope it works!
SOURCE: 89 f-150 runs fine then sometimes dies
Do you check your Catalytic.... i haved the same problem a while a go.. i remove it and runs great... because the Catalytic was full and the combusted gaz can pass through To much Pressure

if it were me I would start with the idle air controll sensor, this is a real humdinger on fords. also clean out your throtle body really good.
let me know
tepfy
SOURCE: Dies after running about 2 minutes
It's got all the symptoms of a leak in the fuel line. You may want to start backward at the tank and work your way all the way to the carb to find it but it would be surprising if it was something else. All the best.
