SOURCE: no power?

A DIRTY MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR. IT'S LOCATED IN THE BIG TUBE RUNNING FROM YOUR AIR FILTER BOX TO THE THROTTLE BODY ON THE ENGINE. CLEAN IT BY TAKING IT OFF AND BUYING SOME MASS AIR CLEANER OR A GOOD ELECTRICAL CLEANER SOLD AT AUTOMOTIVE STORES.CRC IS A GOOD BRAND.SPRAY THE CLEANER ON THE SENSORS THEY LOOK LIKE LITTLE WIRES/COILED SPRINGS INSIDE THE HOUSING..THIS SHOULD TAKE CARE OF YOUR PROBLEM..

Ymy battery light came on and everything on dash

shaking?
that means the engine stalled.
when the engine stalls. (do a tune up)
as the engine misfires, grossly , the 4 cyl . engine will shake.
and then it stalls
and many cluster lamps glow, CEL lamp. and charge glow.
you failed to look at engine RPM its wrong.
the normal hot RPM is about 800RPm for most cars.
and the engine EFI brain regulates there.
if the ECU brain can not regulate RPM at 800 that means you have gross misfiring, (lots of causes)
#1 cause, not doing tune ups, (aka, the 60k service points)

Insufficient Flow problem with back pressure.

The 4 cyl does not have a PCV or EGR. There are a few reasons this could happen, drain plug loose, oil pan gaskets or bolts loose or broken, front cover gasket loose, crankshaft front or rear oil seal leaking, oil filter looseworn valve stem. Check all you fittings before checking these next three. Piston rings not installed right, piston and cylinders worn excessively, damaged oil pressure switch. I know this is long, but in my experience it is usually a loose bolt or fitting. Hope this helps

Hi, could someone help me with the firing order of a 1990 Chevy Lumina power pack, please. Thanks

You didn't say what size engine you have, 4cyl. or 6 cyl.
The 4 cyl. is--- 1-3-4-2
The 6 cyl 3.1 is---- 1-2-3-4-5-6----- on the coil pack under the exhaust manifold is----- 1-4-6-3-2-5. If neither of these doesn't work, then you have a different engine.

Match-up

the 4 cylinder has a different trans bolt pattern than the 4.3 so no the 4 cyl will not bolt up to the 4.3
